I just spent two hours responding to various comments and questions, then writing about the future of the garden, only to lose the whole thing because I was stupid enough to take a survey--NEVER will I oblige the advertising forces again!!!!!! Very briefly, I'll recapitulate: Sherry, our organization of buildings in one settlement and fields away isn't uncommon; Laura, the books are on my reading list, thanks!; Ingrid, I'm wary about uploading family photos to PhotoBucket, which hosts my pictures; the forum itself would be fine; Pam, I hope my garden one day will be as large and beautiful as yours, and as expressive of its owner's spirit; Luanne, my seventy-three year old husband NEEDS work, he would be bored and mischievous without it; but I'm younger and not retirement age; Foghorn, our Token Male! glad you posted, and I hope other guys weren't discouraged by it's being a Mother's Day post; and thanks again to every who wrote in, I feel well rewarded. I continued with a long piece about what I'm thinking to do with the garden, as in the long run I'm going to have to find a way to fund it, but it's a delicate topic for me and I can't write about it hastily; if anyone is interested I can take it up again another time. I'll keep the requests for pictures in mind. Some of you may have noticed that I don't enjoy photography, though I fully recognize its documentary power. Here is a good reason why you may not be able to find this particular brand of tea anymore. Scroll down to below the Google ads for the article about Importing and Exporting of various teas and then changing the names and packaging by multiple competitors selling the same tea etc. Interesting. Maybe your just going to have to start trying some new blends and mixes and find a source for a new favorite. Thanks all, its funny about Bowie and not having his coffee yet, cause that was my dilemma!! Now that summer vacation has officially started, I sit every morning ( after feeding the cats of course) on that 'new' garden seat with my morning coffee or tea, and bowie usually will sit in my lap, but lately he has been rushing to get to it first!! I can't sit on HIS lap, and I have to plead with him to get down!!! I have to go get another chair to sit on. He does know a good seat when he sees it!!! It's too funny and he looks very funny in that pic. Sharon, the cat in the other bed across from the PINK bed never causes any mischief, cause he is cement. Here's another pic of Bowie, guarding the garden, which he does a very good job of, whenever he sees a squirrel in the bird feeder, he runs over, has never hurt a squirrel but seems to know that they have their own feeder, cause he never chases squirrels out of the squirrel feeder. In the pic of Bowie, his very shy mother, we just call her 'mommy kitty' is on the other side, They were both rescue cats. Oh well, lots of fun to have the critters and cats around. Oh, I meant to post another daylily that I was so excited about, didn't take a good pic, It was the bonus Prediction from Maryott last fall and it showed itself yesterday.
