Thanks PPC. I've read the first link and started the second. LOL I was hoping for first hand knowledge of specific brand names but most of the information in those threads is inconclusive, so I thought I'd ask again. It'd be great to be able to find one OTC! I ordered some PH balanced soap used in laboratories but it's thin and barely foams.

I too had this problem with an expensive Kenmore Elite but I decided not to let it bother me. I fill one powder dispenser and leave it open and make sure I have the Jet Dry department always filled. I never observed a lack of top notch cleaning after that, but I did give it to Habitat for Humanity when I got the top of the line Thermador (made by Bosch). The Thermadors and Bosch's are far better than the Miele's at their price points and they are at least as quiet as the best Miele's, which cost $1K more. Greg

I haven't found a decorative glass, fancy one.... but the secret to the foaming is in the pump. You can take the empty one from Method or from Bath and Body Works or wherever and refill with a 50% or less soap to water ratio. Be sure to add the water first, or the suds will overwhelm your attempt to add the water to the soap. I like a 33% soap ratio for refilling the Bath and Body Works ones.

I recently quit using my favorite for dishes (Dawn). My hands are very dry and sensitive. I bought Ecos Ultra Hand Dishwashing at Costco. It came in a 2 pack --Natural Pear and Natural Grapefruit. The pear is a faint fragrance and does a decent job cleaning. It is easier on my hands. Haven't tried the grapefruit yet. The bottle says 100% all natural, petrochemical free, neutral PH, easy on hands, derived from coconut oil. Haven't tried it in the pump yet -- but will when the pump runs out of the current soap. Although it isn't quite as good as Dawn, I'll buy Ecos again. Thanks for starting this thread. I'll be watching to see what others use.
