When I post thumbnails, do they open properly for those who click on them? Sometimes, thumbnails others post just take me to a photo site where I need a password to get in. I've just wondered about that. Also, when a thumbnail is opened, does it take as long to download as it does by just posting the picture in the body of the message or does it show up more quickly?

I think your thumbnails are working for me, but I don't see the point of it, oh yes I do, you won't have a long thread to load if there are lots of pics.

I don't know how to code for thumbnails here, and I really prefer photos embedded in a reasonable size right in the thread. I don't care for the dinky photos if you upload them to this site and another link to click on.

Thumbnails certainly have their purpose in galleries though.

I don't recall any thumbnail *here* taking me to a photo site where you have to register. I never look at any photos on any sites I have to sign in for. I only rarely register at sites, and then only when it's something I really want. You can code any link in a thumbnail, so I would be annoyed if it takes me somewhere I don't want to go. If a link is coded with a description like this forum is set up, then I'm not going somewhere blindly unless someone tricks me which hasn't happened yet.

Some of it I think is a sneaky way of harvesting email addresses. I don't know which sites I frequent are dropping those data miner cookies on me either. I don't like that.

If I have to have a cookie just to remember my password, that is ok, saves me the trouble of logging in each time, but I don't like being tracked. I think that should be outlawed just like porn. It is spying on you even if it is only for marketing purposes, I guess that's what it's for.

Thanks, aliska. I have just wondered if thumbnails are easier for some people to open- especially those on dial-up. I remember how long even fairly small pictures used to take for my computer to open when I was on dial-up.

Well, you were certainly in timber rattler territory, Melissa. Here is a range map for timber rattlers in Florida. They can reach a length of about 6' and have a very distinctive "chevron" pattern of dark brown to black bands along the length of the body. The color depth can very from a light tan with brown bands to a very dark brown, nearly black. I don't think of them as being black & white myself, though that might be the impression you would get while driving by. There are a couple of other non-venomous snakes you might have seen instead, but it is really hard to tell without a photo or more solid description. Here is a good photo of a timber rattler in the color I think of as being "normal" for them. And here is a picture of one that's much darker. Does either look like a good match for what you saw? I'm no expert, but I'd consider using a sealant remover/stripper to get rid of whatever product was used, then resealing with a reputable product. But first of all: check with your granite installer to see what they say!

FWIW, my understanding of mower deck "geometry" is that the last place manufacturer's put money is in the shape of the deck as they're juggling to meet a "price point." ergo, if you have a garden variety LT with a deck, yes, it will cut grass, but the deck shape creating a vacuum to pull the blades up for an even cut just isn't there. Commercial decks have that feature and also are designed for that and mulching in one FAST pass. Another point to be considered, how often do you clean the clumps from the deck? Whatever vacuum effect you might have is significantly reduced if you have a lot of crud under there. Also, how anal are you about cleaning off the top of the mandrels to allow airflow up and through them? Just MHO.

Overkill, in my opinion. Be careful with the Epsom salts, once a season should be enough, if needed. The 20-20-20 is just a balanced fertilizer, you would have to see the label to determine if any micronutrients are being provided in addition to NPK. if not, any balanced fertilizer will do. If you have 1 & 2, the rest isn't needed unless indicated by soil test. I didn't do all of that when I was heavily into exhibiting. I use a dry organic fertilizer (Espoma), a Neptune's Harvest liquid seaweed, and maybe some Mills Easy Feed (a couple of times a season, if I remember). I used to put down 1/2 cup of Epsom salts per plant in the spring, but haven't in many years. i would be cautious of over fertilizing. I lost plants due to trying to do too much.
