Thank you all! I didn't mean to offend anybody here! There is a distinct flavor and texture difference between plum and prune. Plums are more juicy and Clingstone, [the stone is usually attached to the fruit] and not used for drying. Prune need longer season to ripen and are free stone. Also, shape of Plum is round, Prunes are longer to a point both sides. In German Prune is called Zwetschge, Plum is called Pflaume Eric The grower from whom I got the scion wood from called it Empire. Konrad

CK and Four - I am dying to see them also. Have to wait until April 27th for the install! Cabinets progressing. I posted a few on other posts, but will post a few teasers here (yes, Four, the answer is yes) West wall (I could only do one glass front as I am not all that organized to show off multiple cabinets). The box to the left is my mock up sink and faucet to decide on final faucet placement! We are also moving the double light switch to the dining room as current placement will split the backsplash and really no way to go further since the door does not have a "frame". South Wall - microwave goes away - GC keeping us kitchen operational as much as possible (but no sink or faucet right now) North wall - note the paint samples inside the oven box - we chickened out on the etruscan and went more neutral East wall - "MINE!" - my cave. DH has a matching one on the other side with a bench between. I put power inside to charge "toys". Also power at bottom of bench Still undecided on back splash - I have not ruled out basic tile (CK) or possibly back painted glass tile - larger format but not templates. Stay tuned - hope to have it painted by the weekend!

Some nice pics up there! I really like the sky pictures. I could look at clouds all day. Although I mostly grow calamondins, here are a couple other varieties. This first is a meyer lemon I gave to my sister last year. It had some real problems when we got the (almost free) tree - root problems, bug problems. But we pruned it and cared for it and it has really bounced back this year. It had 10 big juicy lemons this summer so far. The best we've eaten. 3 still on the tree and the tree has busted out with blooms like crazy. It likes this sunny window. The next tree is a mexican lime that really should have been re-potted this year, or two years ago! We didn't do it because we were not going to keep it (my friend was supposed to take it this summer). And it's not at my house. Now that winter is coming we don't know what to do with it, so it's sitting there till my friend needs a lime I guess.

Strength charts for PVC pipe The problem with PVC pipe breaking comes from incorrect joints or continual vibration as a rule. CPVC and PVC pipe are approved for use as supply lines for plumbing in my area. Manufacturers of both types caution against using air pressure to test these systems because of liability(mainly). There are many water services with water pressure over 80 psi---my area has 120 psi at the building shutoffs. Testing water and gas line systems with air pressure is an accepted industry standard. However, the industry maintains testing with water is the best method because water molecules are smaller than air molecules. Testing gas lines is done with a maximum of 5 pounds of pressure, while water lines often use 60 pounds(average water pressure to buildings). Test times vary from a couple of hours to 24 hours.
