But I was listening to your reason to make another choice. if they HAD been alike....my candidate for one that would also be different from Blue Angel. And that is Clear Fork River Valley. It is far removed from the sophisticated graces of Blue Angel, with its orderly tailored look. It is rough, Rambo with a three day beard, fast growing, apparently slug proof, a rather roundish leaf instead of the pair of blue angel wings. If you check the Hosta Library, the color of mine is like the 3d picture from the top, decidedly a blue tint. Nothing smooth about it. Crinkled up as much as broccoli! And mine is entering its 2nd year here in this picture. So. yeah, if Blue Umbrellas had been just like Blue Angel, ........ So....why not get Clear Fork River Valley too? Have all three. You know what they say about good things coming in threes....

I'm sticking with my original advice! "Rich goldenrod is also a good contrast to navy, and has a certain elegance...think about the gold braid on a Navy uniform... something like BMoore "Dorset Gold" (HC-8), or SW 6369 "Tassel," which is deeper. If you choose gold, be careful to stay away from anything that goes toward orange, as the navy will intensify that tone."

That grout is gray, not black. Yes, you can use gray. I wouldn't use black, even with black tile.

Wow Melissa R! those mockups are amazing! thank you! I went ahead and had contractor repaint to Hale Navy. It‘s still not a perfect match (more grey), but I like this combo/color better than the Old Navy. Those undertones in the old navy blue were just bothering me! I will put the wallpaper up and then decide if we should try for a better match or if it‘s good enough as is (I think it will be good enough :). This is definitely a lesson to get samples and paint swatches on the wall rather than pick from a paint chip. I’ll report back when the wallpaper is up. Thanks to everyone for weighing in!
