The chicken breasts I picked up today are so nice and plump.....bone in and skin on.

I threw them in a pan, and just rubbed oil and my spices on the skin and baked them. Had roasted veggies.....carrots, onions, green pepper and asparagus, mixed in with orzo pasta.
Just delicious!

I'll take either one of yours.

I had a wonderful meal at church today, mashed potatoes, chicken noodles, roasted veggies, some kind of chicken casserole with vegetables, mac and cheese and a really good meatloaf and a lettuce salad. Unsweetened iced tea to drink. No dessert today for me even though the table was full of all kinds of goodies. So this evening I just had peanut butter with black raspberry jelly on toast and a big mug of hot tea. No pancakes this evening :)

We had chicken soft tacos. Still have one kid left here from the party yesterday. LOL! She just kinda kept hanging around.

That Thai shrimp, the really plump chicken (can almost taste it) meatloaf and everything else sounds so good. I've been working my butt off. I just finished cleaning my bedroom, master bath and dressing room. I mean really cleaning. I washed all the woodwork and doors some spots on the walls, took down the window treatments, polished the furniture and crawled under the bed to get it clean there, too. I'm not usually this ambitious but we're having the carpet taken up tomorrow and wood flooring put down. I thought I'd be finished around 3:00. I just finished. Boy did I under estimate the job. I told DH I think after we get some work done in the bathroom and get those rooms painted, I'm going to think about a cleaning woman. Getting down on the hands and knees was tough enough but getting back up was a real challenge!
Dinner for me is chicken soup again. I just need some fuel so I can clean up the family room and kitchen. DH concocted something for himself. I know not what, I just know he made a mess.

Glenda, what is a rollup? I thought maybe it was bread rolled up with all the other stuff inside, but that would be hard to do with toast. At any rate, it sure sounds like a good combination.

Sue, you had me at mashed potatoes and chicken and noodles. I love chicken and noodles slathered over a bunch of mashed potatoes. Doesn't get any better than that!

OMG, Kathleen, before you know it half the high school's going to be living at your house. When my DD was in high school, one of her friends lived with us for a few months. (Her parents knew.) I enjoyed having her. Kids are so funny!

Georgysmom, I looked under my bed just to see what was under there--nothing! Now that's a first. Everywhere I've lived I had stuff stored under the bed. In the guest room, we keep the dining room table leaf under the bed. You sure got a lot done, but I know what you mean about getting up and down. When the heck did THAT happen?? Enjoy your new floors!!

Carol, what a nice thing to say about your MIL. You must have watched and learned because I think you are the same kind of grandmother that she was.

Linda, Atlantic salmon? Are you all out of Pacific salmon in Seattle? :-) Just kidding, but I anxiously wait every year for the wild red salmon from your coast to hit the stores. The season here is only a few weeks and then it disappears again until the next year. So, so good.

And I agree, Glenda has found restaurants with the most interesting and yummy-sounding food.

Yum, Mboston, what a nice dinner. Everything sounds delicious. Where did you find watermelon this time of year? I don't remember seeing it in our stores here.

Cheryl, that's my kind of meal. I love cooked carrots and have been wanting them lately. Maybe tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers that I have leftover meatloaf in the freezer. I'll just copy your whole dinner--haha!

@patti43 - oops, I wrote wild Atlantic salmon when I really meant wild KING salmon. Wild king salmon is a delicacy and much tastier than Atlantic salmon. But I love all salmon. The best salmon is Copper River salmon from Alaska but is only available for a short time during the year.
