bighorn mts. waterfall

Hi,

I'm a newbie here; I'm spend most of my time wandering around the gardening forums. Here's a pic from one of my favorite backpacking destinations. Notice a second son at the top, right of the falls.

Joanmn, haven't I seen you over in the gardening forums also?

Ron

Ron, Welcome!

Nice photo. Looks refreshing after a long hike. Keep posting pics and maybe just a little larger format.

Just finished looking a ALL the pictures and enjoyed each and every one!!!! I did the slide show, but probably should have put more seconds in between. I so enjoyed the one picture of the rocks. The suttle shades of color were amazing. I can see that you are very much newly weds! LOL Makes me wonder where the spark went from my 46 + years of marriage. I think there is a tiny flame still flickering somewhere. LOL Connie

Your pics are absolutely beautiful! I would love to do a hiking vacation. It must be wonderful at night to b e way out there, eating fish you just caught and sleeping under the stars. You will probably really bond with your guy friends and I hope you have lots of pics to show us when you get back. Tale care of those "old" guys. LOL

HI GH and Thanks...Yes it would be lovely to have a waterfall like that in the garden but then the Cane Toads would live in and around it. I found the most discusting one this morning when I was watering the pumpkins it was huge too big for me so yelled out to hubby he yelled back I'll do it after breakfast, and quess what he forgot but I reminded him as I could hear the Garbage truck around the next street so its gone now. Thanks Lynn and Aeor yes it was a very pleasant day, 39 gee that is warm only 34-35 the past five days here. Cheers..MM

Welcome Ron, from a neighbor in WI.

Now that's what I call getting away from it all!

Where are the Bighorn Mts.?

Great photos, BTW.

Thanks for a wonderful shot.

The hotter it gets down here in Texas the more I like your pic.

Thanks all,
The Bighorns are in north central Wyoming, the next mt. range east from Yellowstone. They're not nearly as overrun with people as yellowstone or the tetons but just as beautiful IMO. we park at the end of the road at about 9,000 feet and then hike in and up from there. If we see more than 8 people a day it's crowded. I leave on mon. for a week out there. can't wait.
