I inherited my dad's toolbox. He was a realtor and carried the tool box in trunk of his car. Wasn't the HOME toolbox, but meets my needs.

I don't have a tool box, but I wish I did....so I could put all my stuff together and away so other would stay out of it.

I have drills,saws, sanders,dremel tools,a router,and of course you have to have lots of tips for that router and dremel...I'm a Timmee tool lady....!!! lol

I have a small pink tool box, no drills or anything like that. The men are always getting into it and using my tools !!!

I wish I had a tool box! I would really like to learn how to fix more things, and to build simple things. I always wished I would have taken car mechanics in high school. Would have saved me lots of money!

Years ago I used to do craft shows. One year for my birthday my hubby bought me my own drill. He came in and handed me a brown paper bag and said I know it isn't wrapped very nice but he knew I would like it. Sure enough, I did. I had my own drill press, band saw, scroll saw, and tons more. Now I have just a small box with drill, screwdriver, pliers and such. Just enough to do the handy little jobs around the house.

I always laugh when I think of the year I got my drill. I bowled with a group of ladies and one always got diamonds. When she asked me what my hubby gave me, I told her she couldn't laugh. Well, when I told her she turned her head and laughed. She knew I loved my drill as much as she loved her diamonds..

Back in my "hey day," I had a lot of tools. Big tools like a reciprocal saw, and another I can't think of the name of, sanders, drills, electric hedge clippers, hand saws etc.

And then there were the necessary screw divers, pliers, and hammers. I still have a very old hammer that my DF gave me.

That was then, this is now. Now I just have pliers and one of those screw drivers that holds the bits. They don't get used much.

I love my toolbox, too. I don't have any big tools (other than an electric drill and electric screwdriver), but I have a metal toolbox for smaller hand tools and a rectangular basket in a cabinet for larger ones plus nails, etc.

I didn't start using tools until after I was widowed, and I still don't hammer the straightest nails 100% of the time. But fixing things or putting things together is empowering.

I have a large rolling tool box and I love it. I've had my own tools since the 1960s, but I got some power tools in the 70s. They are the best. When I bought the power tools I also bought a tool box. It wasn't a large one. In the early 1990s I was a licensed electrician and did that for a living at a factory. That's when I got the large tool box. After I bid to another job I brought my tool box home. It's in the garage now and is fairly organized so I know where to find what I need.

My garage came with a built in Tool bench that goes the length of the garage so I have a lot of tools plus the toolbox DS left here so he would have his favorite tools if he had to fix something over here. I do have a favorite hammer and pliers

I have a small plastic tool box somewhere in the garage. I need a bigger tool box and a new electric drill. My drill is 30 yrs old and has seen better days. Last year a friend here gave me a skill saw that he bought at a garage sale.
When DS was here at Christmas he bought himself a compressor and left it in my basement. I bought myself a new hammer recently.

while it's "our" tools, dh gave one to me for christmas..it's awesome..rolling, with a butcher block top that i use to fold clothes on...it was one of those special buys at costco...it replaces this old red one i'd bought him years ago...

Mine is the picnic basket from Longeberger. Hides tools really well, and DH doesn't use them and leave them ANYWHERE anymore. :)

But, right now it lives in my other house. When I am there, and need a tool, I have some.

A few years ago I gave my younger daughter a nice cordless power drill for Christmas. She LOVED it.

Then, another Christmas closer to now, I gave my husband a REALLY NICE cordless power drill. The surprise was on me, as he had bought a cordless drill for me that same Christmas. We took that one back, and kept the bigger one. For the likes of me, I can't remember what we exchanged the other one for.

I love mine and we joke that Woody has to sign things out if he's going to use them, but he's even more anal than I am about things being in their place, so it's OK if he borrows my stuff.

I keep mine in the kitchen in a cabinet next to the sink. Down in the garage is his big, stacked box with 10 times as many tools as I have, but I don't need to keep it all in the house- as long as it's close, I'm happy. My favorite tools? My socket set. It gets used more than I thought it would.

I keep a few essentials upstairs, too, to save me a trip occasionally.

The handiest gift I ever got was one of my gifts from my mother when I got married. She found this little solid brass hammer. In the handle of the hammer screwed in three varying little sizes of screwdrivers which fit into the handle of the hammer. This is a small hammer, not typical size.

We were a military family and moved a *lot* - this was just the handiest thing for hanging pictures and other little jobs that I had to do with each move -

My husband has one of those big, rolling tool drawers but he is always grabbing my "girl hammer" :)

I have two tool boxes. One for actual tools and the other I use for my craft stuff. I adore both of them. I actually keep a lock on my tool box because my DH and kids are terrible about taking things out and not putting them back. I have had my tool box ever since I first left home at 17. I so want a drill someday! I have a Dremel with all kinds of little pieces that my DH got for me when I built my first dollhouse. He is NOT allowed to play with it!

When I got into tole painting DH bought me a drill press, a rotating sander and a skill saw. He has bought me small tools too, like a dremel and a rotozip. His workbench became mine! I have a good sized tool box too.....I love working with wood and someday soon I am going to get back into it. My friend and I used to paint and sell tons of stuff, but the competition and stuff from China made it tiresome to compete. I want to do things for my yard now and holiday stuff for the kids. It's therapy for me.....so yes I love my tool box!

Toolies unite! I don't think I would be happy if I had to give up my big cordless drill. My hand strength has gone way down hill lately, so having that drill gives me the power. I don't have to bother dh to help me. (that could be part of the reason he gave it to me, although I did want it terribly)
I have quite a few screw bits (is that the correct name?) but I'm in need of some longer ones for tight areas. Hope I see some at an auction this summer!

I have several toolboxes. One is in the house and has various screwdrivers, pliers, a hammer, and a mallet. All of these handles are painted blue.

My DH has a big carry around toolbox with much the same tools plus a drill and skillsaw. All of these handles are painted green.

He has his shop with a huge tool box and an 8x4' pegboard with every wrench, screwdriver, and power tool known to man. Oh, and he has a tool box for his truck, which he can load if he's working somewhere else.

My studio also had an 8x4' pegboard with all my upholstery tools, and all the tools for my longarm quilting machine.

We like tools, and we believe in giving them dedicated space.
