I bought more of those wonderfully delish Johnsonville Brat patties with cheddar in them and we will be having Brat Burgers tonight.

This time walmart had all the varieties but we loved the ones with the cheddar so much we stuck with those.
I splurged and got those Hawaiian bread buns for them, I love that Hawaiian bread.

Just me to eat as usual. I had a plate of raw veggies and some hot tea and buttered crackers.

Patti, I went taco too - taco pizza. They put a little too much lettuce on it tho this time, kept falling off all over the place, plus skimped on the black olives.

I didn't sleep last nite, could feel that I was coming down with a cold or something, had the chills. Felt lousy all day.

Plain tomato soup and crackers for dinner.

Ravencajun--shoot, we went to the dreaded Wal-Mart the other day and I forgot to look for those patties. I'll be sure to check out Publix this week. BTW, how did you like the beef ribs?

Wish I had some pizza crust, Schoolhouse. I'd make a taco pizza. We used to get them at Pizza Hut years ago.

Jasdip, poor baby! I hope you feel better tomorrow. Get lots of rest and call me in the morning--LOL! Seriously, I hope you feel better. Isn't it good we all go for soup and crackers when we feel bad? Must be something to that old wives' cure.

We went out for a late lunch today. I had spaghetti with clam sauce and brought half of it back That's for dinner tonight. DH will have a sandwich if he gets hungry later.

Someday I just have to try spaghetti with clam sauce.

Tonight I had tilapia, pan scalloped potatoes, and steamed vegetables....a mix of red peppers, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, water chestnuts....good and colorful.

Patti they only sell the Johnsoville brat patties at walmart for now according to their website, I have no idea why.

The beef ribs last night, they ended up being much fattier than I thought so that was not good, the flavor was great and my husband ate a plate full but I do not like that fatty taste and I could taste that. Had it not been for that it would have been great. The bbq sauce I used was Sweet Baby Ray's which is my fave and I just added some Frenches mustard to it for the twang and put a chopped up purple onion in there with it. I started it on high for about an hour and a half then turned to low for about 4 hrs. I would do it again.

Georgysmom, are you on your way home or still in Florida? Can't wait to hear about your vacation. I haven't made spaghetti with clam sauce for so long I'd forgotten about it.

Gadgets, your potatoes sound really good. Have to say it again, you shame me with your healthy eating! I think you'd like the spaghetti with clam sauce, Gadgets--if you like garlic, which I can barely cook without!

dh has his unpaid friday today..but by the time we got done messing outside, and i couldn't find the frozen bbq pork, we opted for kfc...don't do it often but any port when you're tired, lol

Busy day today--This morning-was helping DD decorate for the bridal shower she's giving her best friend. This afternoon, baked: a batch of cinnamon cookies (last batch I needed for the cookie tray), a pumpkin cake that looks like a sand castle; pineapple upside down cake; and a grasshopper cheesecake. Wrapped our gift. Put the cookie tray together. As you can imagine, I didn't have the ooomph to cook, so DH ran up to the sandwich shop on the corner and got me a roast beef special and a tuna hoagie for him.

Oh, need I say, the shower's theme is tropical? The wedding is in about a month, in Jamaica, so everyone's getting into the swing of things!

What a busy day, Azzalea. Everything sounds so good. When is the shower? I guess you sure wouldn't feel like cooking, and your dinner sounds good. Are you going to the wedding?

Patti, we're heading home tomorrow morning. YEAH. I love the sun but miss Georgy. Even DH is missing her. After about a couple of days, he came out of the bedroom one morning saying "I miss Georgy. I love that dog". You don't know how big that is. He's never particularly been a dog lover and for him to put it into words, BIG! Spaghetti with clam sauce is one of my go to recipes because it's such an easy, quick dinner. Usually I throw in shrimp, too. I don't generally order something I make myself, but it sounded so good today and it was pretty good. Even better the second time around.

We had a white dinner. I fried some haddock and had it with creamed cauliflower!

Patti, the shower is this afternoon (Saturday). Unfortunately, no, I won't be going to the wedding, but DD is a bridesmaid and is going. The bride is planning to have a reception 'back home' in June, since many cannot afford (or afford the time) to go to Jamaica for the wedding, we're looking forward to that.
