Your kitchen sounds gorgeous!

I am thinking of using Lincolnshire Olive in my kit from RL, but I don't have a picture of it to share. The colors in my kitchen are: cabinets a sandy RL color, floor Limestone with black accent tile, same with BS, black and ivory toile (I think it's a RL fabric) curtains, beige, ivory and charcoal granite (with some bronze) counters, black granite table with black/rusty iron legs and ivory bentwood chairs.

The right green is proving harder than I imagined. I am hoping for an olivey green but one that is light. I saw the perfect color in someone's family room and took a picture of it, but I can't get it to post. She told me it was custom mixed. It was almost a white green, but with olive and even grey tones.

Here's fingers crossed someone has some good pics for you (so I can get a peek, too).

The Lincolnshire is one of my options. I tried the Khaki (even bought a sample) but it's too dark (but beautiful).
I thought this was going to be easy. I just don't do well with light colors. I've gone up and down on the green thread and nothing. I have the same Olivey green in mind as you. I just can't find it. (I love toile!)

Well, I feel your paint (ha! I meant pain, but how fitting!). I also looked at the Lowe's Olive line, which you can see pics of in the green thread. I went so far as to photoshop the Lincolnshire Olive into my kitchen, with rubber stampings of my curtains (haven't made them yet, fabric looking at me accusingly). It is a weird color, because it didn't look green in my ps version, and yet it worked. I don't know how to post pics here...I've tried so many diff ways. I need to figure that out, because words don't cut it in this arena! I can email you the ps version of my kitchen, but realize I am a strictly amateur ps-er! it looks rather like a child's drawing, I'm afraid.

The toile isn't the typical toile, it's floral of all things, but I love it. Sort of scrolly pattern. I fell in love and had to have it:-) I'm going to use an olive green grosgrain ribbon to tie it to the rod and maybe edge it in an olive fabric...we'll see how lazy I get.

I like the olive from lowes but...it's not working.
To post picks, open a photobucket acct. Load you pics onto there. Then you click the 3rd link underneath the picture and paste it on your message. When you click "preview message" it will show the picture. Don't forget to resize them so they don't come out super big.

yeah, the lowe's didn't work for me either. i'm figuring out how to upload some pics now-- will be back in a while!

Here's my kit (plus entry pics for color). Nothing has been painted yet in the whole house, except for the swatches all over the walls in the kitchen. also, i put the swatch from the toile in here so you can see it. My kitchen is not finished yet-- need shelves and pot rack hung, etc...but here it is mid-state from its year long remodel. the shutters are coming off the windows and the toile going up, hung to either side of the counter with a tieback.

You lincolnshire looks beige on my monitor. If you want something light, try Crocodile tears by Olympic (lowes). Search the name on this forum and you'll see pics (also requested by me). I think the toile is going to look great in kitchen. I also love the backsplash.
I really hate when people offer advice that wasn't requested but I'm going to do it anyways, when you paint-lower the two prints in your kitchen. They are too high.

Thanks! yeah, the lincolnshire came out looking very beige to me, too. And yet, the swatch from the store looked great on the walls. Maybe I need to do a bigger area. the inspiration color looks so bright here, but in her house it didn't. I wanted a light olive.

I think you're right about the prints-- not to worry about the advice thing; I appreciate all feedback so long as it is well-meaning! The reason they're up that high right now was we were building a shelf above the counter. that may never happen, so maybe I should just move them. They are vintage original prints from Paris(not the knock offs sold here) and I love them-- so I should make sure they are showcased properly.

thanks re the foyer- it's not pained yet and I need a new light fixture, but it's getting there. Been in the house a year now and there's sooo much to do. I am not quick to make color choices, either.

I don't have Ralph Lauren olive, but I do have Alexander Julian 'branch' from Lowes. We had it mixed using the Lowes house brand, which was American Tradition. I think they call it Valspar now. It is in our great room, kitchen and nook. I love it. We don't have a lot of light coming in, except in the afternoon, which is when I took these pictures. I think it appears lighter on the monitor than it actually is in the room.

Have you looked in our Gallery at the Greens thread? It shows and names a lot of green paint colors. You might also want to look at my Kitchens thread for ideas. I think we forget to use the Gallery to our advantage, but there are some great picture posts there.

I looked at the green gallery and found lots of great stuff. I'm having a hard time finding THE ONE. Kinda like dating, and I hated that. BTW, I was checking out the gallery and really enjoy so many of the inspiration pics you posted for us!

I think I've decided on BM baby turtle. I'll try and get it in the ralph lauren. I don't know if HD will mix another brand's color.
