I only checked Lowe's and Home Depot online and in store and they had nothing like just replacement rings. It's possible that there are so many different sizes and manufacturers that it would be impossible. I did not check at the electrical supply stores. I agree to the wisdom of keeping future options open by preserving the originals, but I've already started the process. My thinking is if it really looks bad with the Rustoleum Universal brushed nickel, I could just paint them while again. Worst case (costly) would be to change out all the recessed lights, but I hope it doesn't come to that. I've put a coat of Uma bonder on them after scuffing them up a bit with fine steel wool. My next step is elevating them with coins on cardboard and applying a thin coat in one direction. When it dries, I'll spray another thin coat up and down and then a third on a diagonal. Hoping for the best, not even going to think of the worst!

A couple of weeks ago I went to the vet to buy a 6 month supply of heartworm preventative and flea preventative for my three dogs and it was almost $500. I took the Great Dane today to get his yearly shots and tests and it was another $85. I had planned to take all three dogs today, but will wait for another monthly paycheck to come in before I take the other two. They aren't due for the annual stuff til June 11. I just did Luther's today because he is going to obedience school in about a week ( more money ) and I wanted to get his vet stuff out of the way. Linda

You should be able to make a vent cover without too much difficulty. Years ago we made radiator covers. We ordered the decorative metal from some online source. Big box stores sell the metal pieces too but the may not have a pattern you like. If their sizes are too short you could use 2 pieces and cover the seam with a piece of wood trim. There are directions and videos on line. I have linked a couple below. vent-cover instructions updating-your-air-vent-covers I have also linked a couple sources for the decorative metal. It appears that you can sheets a 96" long and different widths for under $200. You can usually cut the metal with tin snips. Here's a couple examples Decorative metal More metal sheets

I was wondering how you would be able to get a bar to span 13 feet for hanging the clothing. The Metro racks are an interesting idea. Make sure you build the door opening high enough to get them in and out, along with anything you set on the top shelf above the hanging clothing. So to access the the left corner fixed shelving, you will need to wheel out the middle Metro rack, then slide the the left Metro rack to the center. So you will need to place the doors in the exact middle of the closet for this to work. You might want to check to see if you can buy storage containers that are less than 12 inches on one side. I have a lot of 12 inch storage shelves, but my stuff can hang over. Your stuff can't do that, except in the above the door shelving Wait a minute. You have 4 feet of space. 1 foot is fixed back shelving, 1.5 feet is movable shelving. That leaves only 1.5 feet to stand in front of the left and right movable racks to access the clothing. You might want to test the feasibility of having only 18 inches of space to walk into the closet, grab a clothing hanger, turn around and walk out.
