Nice place you're building for them- they should be appreciative!

Gee, that would make me a really neat garden shed!! I might let one goose stay in it!

Hmm, "lucky ducks".

Good Job! You are quite the carpenter. That should be there for many years to come. Please post a picture when it is finished.

Oh wow, how neat. Not what I expected at all. Incidentally normally I do not like net photos framed except in rare cases.

How fortunate to have all that space! Being alone, I couldn't manage it, but always dreamed of living out and away on a farm or acreage. And I have a farm, just can't live on it because I couldn't cope by myself with all the complexities of it.

And it's too far away (50 miles) to do anything on a regular basis of my own there. I tried it for a weekend. Wasn't scared at all, didn't lock the doors, didn't know how to turn on the electricity that runs the pump that flushes the toilet. In the winter with the snow and long driveway, it would not work for me.

Oh I had dreams for that place! It's a major disappointment in my life, I hate the way it is there, very utilitarian. I'd want to redo the whole place which would cost megabucks.

Was wondering where you were, Eric...Hey, I could use one of those for my gardening tools...Lucky duckies and goosies!

I like the overhang!

Thanks everyone.

Here is an update on the duck / goose house. All the metal work is done except the green fascia trim.

Aliska, Sorry about your dreams.
I'm more on the utilitarian side, less on esthetics side. Don't get me wrong I like things to look good, but function is more important.
Living 50 miles out you would have to be a handyma'am. Electricity, heating, plumbing.
As for the cabin fever, there is always us crazys on the Garden Web.
