Just bought a new camera!

My battery died on the other old one, and would have to order a new battery for $59, (no one keeps it in stock anymore) so instead invested in a Sony DSC-W120.

Anyone have one and do you like it?

Think I'm gonna like it. My other was a Sony Cybershot as well, just an older model.

Glenda, I was at Sam's Club a few weeks ago lookimg at camera lenses. Another customer was asking me about the difference in cameras. I explained to her the little bit I know about them and started helping her search for one that would be the best and easiest to use. They were all so similar and in a fairly close price range. I think almost all of today's cameras are pretty good quality for a reasonable price. I realize there are some high dollar cameras out there, but I was referring to the majority of point and shoot cameras.

I hope you like yours and take plenty of pictures to share with us. Spring time is almost here. It's almost time to take some pretty tree top pictures from your window.

DH made a comment this is one time my big mouth may come in handy LOL!! LOL! I'm not going to rant on about cameras, forgot that Panasonic that took nice HD videos. The Sx IS series wasn't quite what I wanted as a backup camera, but I did like the tilt screen and got some decent photos before I gave it away. It does take really nice macros. At the tele end, all I could see was a huge blur and the way you control the zoom, it took too long to get my subject in the viewfinder. I went for it because of the 12X zoom. But to be fair, I have a nice telephone lens. It is tricky to use on moving subjects.

thank you , this pic is actually my grandmother. It was taken on mothers day. Yes, we went walking that day on the family property. I love this picture of her, to me it seems whimsical(sorry not a great speller).

LOL.. yep, his hair started thinning out in highschool. he came home from college one weekend completely bald! lol The guys told him if he went and shaved his head, they'd let him buy back in to the poker game for free! (he is a lousy poker player still lol) So he did. He was thinking about shaving anyways. the photos are very clear...

I have an old Pentax K-5. As a young guy I had a Pentax ME Super. At the time, I had a macro lens but in the digital era, well -- my old macro is not so good. I have a Tamron 90mm f/2.8 that should serve as a macro but I have used it for sports photography, only. Here is an old photo that I like with a Pentax K- 200D, not sure which lens.

Glenda,

That's a nice camera. It comes in pink, blue, black, and silver. What color did you get?
