I have 12 hens, and they have their choice of six nest boxes. But, they will use only two, and line up. Cackle and carry on. Today, one girl decided she had enough waiting, and used a flower pot to lay her egg in. It is fun to watch their antics. Seem to say, "You done yet?" at the hen in the nest, as she looks out at them, and picks up nesting materials and tucks it around her. Great picture!

I love your Polka!! It's a climber isn't it? Is that a raspberry near the nest or is it some sort of forsythia berry? I don't know anything about forsythia LOL. Carol

Do you have to use a tripod? I have a 70-200 VR (same as your IS) but I think if I use the teleconverter, I'll have to use a tripod. We have baby Robins in a tree in our backyard and I'd love to try and get some pics this weekend. Don't know if I can though because they're pretty high up. We saw one of the parents fly in with food tonight and could see their little heads bobbing around.
