I have Sunrise Serenade. What yellow morning glory are you looking for? I have plenty of Ipomoea hederifolia var lutea, and also a few seeds of Ipomoea obscura, pale yellow form. I would be interested in your Girasol Sunflower and 'Captain of the Blues' Sweet Pea. LMK, Alana

I love Morning Glories too, and they will almost grow themselves, but what are you growing them up? If it is a trellis, or some sort of wire that has fairly large openings it is good...but if you're planning to put them on chainlink fencing, or chicken wire....beware!!! MG tendrils grow up and around any and every conceivable wire...which is a delight to the eyes....but miserable to remove come fall. I've even left it up over winter thinking the stems would soften by spring: they don't. It takes alot of finger strength and time to untwist each and every little tendril off the fence. With larger fencing you can sort of yank it down, clip, yank, clip, yank.

Linda - The shredded flowers can sometimes have reduced pollination due to the fact that the usual 'landing pad' for the bees has been reduced making it more difficult for the bees to land on the flowers and the more open structure of the shredded flower resultsa in a lesser tendency of the bees or stamens to brush up against the stigma... Shortly after fertilization the pedicel (the stem of the flower and the seedpod) will reflex (bend ) to face the ground... Look at the pedicels and if they are pointing towards the ground,like in the photo link I am adding,then the seeds are in the process of developing...
