I did a search on "lost" and didn't find anything on lost digital photos. So, I share the following informtion.

Recently I went "looking" on my SM Memory card for a couple of pictures taken on my Konica/Minotla Z10. The pictures were not there. Via a web-discussion on another photo forum I learned that the SM Memory Cards are known to lose file tags (addresses) of some photos if they have not been cleared recently. In my case, large memory card, I had not cleared/deleted-all on the card for more than 6 months. It was also suggested I try one of the software utilities that search memory cards. I tried "Restore my Photos" and it found the lost pictures. I am using a trial version on the restore program and will purchase the program so that I can copy the found photos onto my hard drive. So, in addition to sharing this technical story on SM cards, I ask if anyone has used the Restore my Photos or has purchased another program they believe to be superior.
