Love everything! Sorry if you already shared this info, but what color are your uppers and are the glass cabinet inserts clear glass or ? I’m trying to finalize choices. Sure wish I could get mine done for $40K. Thanks for any input and enjoy your beautiful kitchen!

I have a mirror addiction. Placement is key. There are no steadfast rules. I think it is more about how you are reflecting the light or architectural interest of the room. Can the mirror hang on the west wall to the right of the door? If so, it will reflect the light coming in the window and the view out of the window. It will almost serve as a second window. Hanging it above the sofa just reflects the flat wall across from it, which doesn't really add much to the space. I think it is fine to start with a piece of artwork or a mirror as the first item in a room around which to anchor your other furnishings. The layout of the space does look like an uncomfortable waiting room. Who is going to be using this room and when? Is it an additional sitting room or your main living room? Are you wed to this furniture or would you consider swapping the love seat for an arm chair or two?

We used SW Aesthetic White in our house with lots of windows. Have not yet seen the "violet undertones" that SW says it has (a good thing!); it is very neutral in all lights.

you can alter the surface color of the things reflected. reduce what is reflected in the window. To brighten up the kitchen window area, you can brighten up the paint on the soffit (exterior overhead on the outside of the window) I especially like the lower window, sitting on the countertop.
