I awoke to 57° this morning. Now it is 66°, and tomorrow's high is expected to hit "near 36°". Sure is tough on the body when the temps go weird like that.

Yep, the expected high here today is 79! And, tomorrow there's supposed to be a snow/ice storm and lows in the 20's.

About 80 here and very windy! Tomorrow's high should be in the low 40's with sleet and snow in the afternoon.

I don't think there's an easier way Linda unless you want to pay some neighbor kid to clean it up for you. :-)

It's 40 in Newyw York, but I went outside and did some planting. I clean up dog poo all the time, just shovel and fling it away from the places where we walk.

Linda ~ I have one huge dog and two other large dogs. Here's what I do. I wish there was a more pleasant way, but if there is I haven't found it.

I have an empty 5 gallon paint bucket
A small rake and scoop purchased as a set from a pet supply store
rubber gloves ( just in case )
twist ties
old plastic bags left over from last year's mulch.

I put the plastic bag in the paint bucket and fold the top of the bag over the rim of the bucket. The bucket has a handle and can easily be carried around the yard. I hold the scoop thingie next to the pile and scoot the doo onto the scoop. I fill it up then dump it into the plastic bag. I close the plastic bag and tie it with a twist tie I save from bread loaves and other things. It works better in the summer than in the winter because in the summer the grass is tall and springy and I can almost set the scoop below the pile by pushing it ( scoop ) down towards the ground.

Before I bought the scoop I would use a rake and rake it all into one pile then use a shovel to pick it up and dump it into a plastic bag. That worked okay too, but the scoop and small rake were easier on my hands.

It's a cloudy and windy 67 degrees here right now - 100% chance of rain by 9 pm and 100% chance of snow by 9 am.

Linda, that is the way I do my poopie scooping too. Only I use a grocery bag. But I have a little rake thing, and scoop/shovel too. I rake it onto, until it's full. Then I dump it in the bag, tie it shut with it's handles. I leave the bag on the deck until Monday morning, then put it in the trash, for the trash man to take.

How is it now Linda? It is snowing and the roads are nasty out here in Western Iowa! Yuck! It was pretty nice earlier, but the wind came on strong around noon.

It is just plain yucky out now. The sidewalks are covered in snow, but just a dusting.

I have lots of poop-to-scoop also. I am lucky living out in the country - I just give it a fling over the fence! LOL

Iowagirl, we have thunder snow now. First time I have experienced that. Earlier we had sleet. Darn, just got rid of all that snow and we get more.

The plows ran most of the night here - just getting the ice off I think. Schools ran on-time - but the blacktops are slick. They will be ok in an hour or so.

Brrr...windy and cold. I won't worry about the poopcicles today - they are froze down solid!

It's still cold here with snow on the ground. I will have a backyard of poop to clean up too in the Spring. I have a pooper scooper upper so I don't have to bend down.

LOL I have to tell you a story......

My friend one spring decided to pay her kids for picking up the litter and said she would pay them by the pound. Well they picked it up alright but brought it in to her bathroom scale to weigh it!
