Getting there~Progress photos

Hi all.

So excited to report that progress is being made. We're scheduled to be finished by the end of the month (fingers crossed). This is a whole house renovation of a 1940's Cape. We downsized a ton from our last house and we are so glad! Feels very cozy and right.

Only base cabs have been installed. Templating for marble perimeter counters was today. Waiting on island, uppers, appliances, pendants, etc. ....but I'm so happy to see it coming together.

I included a photo of the brick floor in the mudroom/half bath because someone was asking about brick flooring in a post recently.

I have so much going on here at home right now, the carpenters need me to get things for them to install and finish off, that I must come back to this later. Thank you for trying to help. Win 10 and trying to get photos off the IPhone??

Kidzu, of course I tried that. What I get are a thousand little tiny boxes. When I click on them I get one photo that is so small I can't tell if its worth keeping. It won't enlarge. Plus, each photo is in a separate box so it requires clicking on these tiny boxes one at a time. I have over 1000 photos on my phone and many I do not want on my computer. I tried following the directions from Google. I can't tell what is what. When I plug in the phone a screen comes up full of photos with check marks. I can't tell if I'm looking at the phone or explorer. The only heading on the page is 'photo collection.' Over 1200 photos all containing check marks. If I click 'clear' and try to individually check the photos I want, it still imports all the photos. It states that the photos will be saved in a folder under my name. I'll be dammed if I can find them. I've had it with Win 10. This is ridiculous. Before I could copy what I wanted into the folders I wanted. Now I can't tell if I'm looking at the pics on the phone or on Windows. There is no information. I deleted multiple copies of the same photos and they keep reappearing. The system sucks. I simply want to copy manually what I want to copy and save in the folders I choose. Stupid, dumb and typical Microsoft! Thanks, no reply is necessary. Jane

Wow, wow, wow. Nice group. I have Flaming Wildfire here but I've noticed that last year and this year the blooms are rather small for the scape height. It is though, a beautiful bloom but sadly, I will be eliminating it. Golliwog appears to be just over the foliage. Is that typical? I also have Claudine's Charm but it really has not done well with the heat and drought here this year. I'm tempted to just cut all the scapes and put the poor thing out of its misery.

Thanks, Brad. Debra, Ledgewood's Pansy Eye is re-blooming, and Westbourne's Chip Off The Old Block just puts up scapes along like Colorado Moonstone...which has been blooming since late April and still has a couple. Kate, I have so many with re-bloom scapes it is surprising. Kae, GM is always a favorite f mine too. Lori, thoose were DEbra's picks too. Nancy and Nancy. The color of BB is hard to catch, but that is just why it is striking. Asn as usual, it is next to a bluberry bush and you can sometimes see a few of them with it, Thank you all for looking and commenting. I go out each day sure there will be nothing to photograph but there are always clumps blooming and I can't resist them. kay

I love seeing the progress. Please keep it coming! Your house looks a WHOLE lot nicer than the 1940's capes I've seen.

The upside-down pulls will be very useful for storing Cheerios between meals. That's hilarious.

Thank you for the pics! I was wondering the other day about your reno schedule. End of the month?! Wow! That's a lot of work done very quickly. I'm very much looking forward to seeing those cabs with their hat on.:)

It looks wonderful so far! We, too, downsized and are almost done with an extensive renovation...it was definitely worth it for us, despite living through it. Looks like it definitely will be for you, too!

Can you please tell me what color your cabinets are? I take it they get painted once installed or are your doors/drawers natural?

Thanks all for sharing my excitement!

This week should be busy, so I hope to have more to share soon.

Cabinet color is BM White Dove. The interior of the drawers is natural maple.

Pulls on the banquette are by Schaub (thanks Kateskouros) and the upside down bin pulls (Cheerios catchers, love it!) are RH Gilmore.

Wood floors are wide heart pine.

Brick is Robinson's Thin Brick in color English Pub.

Mudroom Sconce is by Visual Comfort via Circa Lighting

Wall color is BM Balboa Mist. I went thru many samples looking for a crisp light grey with no undertones. Grey is so hard, but I love it.
