From this morning paper's weather report:

Tonight's overnight lows--

Minneapolis - 54 degrees

Fargo, ND - 49 degrees

Ocala, FL - 43 degrees

Seems whacky to me!

It is 69 degrees here at almost 3pm in central ND! Unreal! but I'll take it.

And the winner is Wanda! By January 4 my glads were done blooming, even before I got a chance to throw out the Christmas Pointsettias. I have never had this happen before- last year, they bloomed in April like they should. These are Flevos Laguna butterfly glads, the only ones I have ever found that do not succumb to thrips. Obviously, they don't succumb to winter dormancy either. Renee

Oh for pete's sake. Is this the company that makes the organic cider vinegar I hear people raving about? That's the kind of mistake I would make trying to work with DH and his friends crowded into my office watching the television behind me. And uninvited, they do have other rooms in which to watch their sports. The difference is, I would catch the mistake, I proof read. And when it's something tedious and complicated with a lot of legal property descriptions in it, I make DH stand here with his notes while I read back to him what I've typed..

What is it your trying to do? What is "another method"... I don't see a first. The 2" step down will be maybe 1 1/2" when you're done. Are you doing this floor? If I was doing this one and there was no reasonable way of increasing the height of the wood floor, then what I would do is to fashion a wood reducer to be flush with the tile and touch the floating engineered. This can be done. Get out a pencil and paper and draw some cross sections and the configuration will come to you. You might be able to accomplish such a reducer with an off the shelf piece and fill material. The reducer gets attached to the subfloor and the engineered slides under the lip you would create. I don't know if any of that will be of help to you.

We've had just the most fantastic weather the past few weeks. Of course, that could change in the blink of an eye. We've had some miserable April snows, including this one that made worm digging pretty hard for the robins:

It was so much fun to call a friend in California today and tell her it was warmer at my house than at hers. I am looking forward to 80 tomorrow. I know we can still get snow or a hard freeze in April but I will take this nice weather for now.

I don't believe in "Gore bull warming". In Feb. of 1895, Houston, Texas got 20 inches of snow. That was well before
SUVs. Oh, I guess cow farts did it. That's what they want you to believe so you will cut down on eating meat. All I can say to that is "Bull ****!!!!"
