Yes, citrus, olives, grapes, fig, apples, pears, pomegranates, plum, peach, pecan, and I plan to plant a couple each, walnut, almond, cherry, apricot, more peach and plum, and establish asparagus and strawberry beds. This land also has wild blackberry, planted raspberry, and blueberry bushes. My husband would like to plant at least 20 more blue berry bushes...... Right now, we are struggling to figure out the crazy irrigation system, mostly by removing it, and just using hoses until we get things figured out. We are removing thousands and thousands of saplings, mostly privet, by hand ourselves..... I had hired a guy to help initially, but, found that he was taking out things I would have kept, and leaving things I did not want, so we decided to take our time and just do it all ourselves, by hand, without poisons. I have never felt so blessed in my entire life. I am so grateful to have this land and home. I just have to hope that the best I can do this year will be good enough while I clear and clean and open spaces, and learn as much as I can as fast as I can so that I have a good IPM program by this fall........ oh yeah, and roses........ the roses are just phenomenal. The folks who developed this land were amazing, and I am doing everything in my power to bring this place back to its glory.......... meantime, there are so many pipes on top of the ground, and holes and trenches just everywhere, it's not safe to even have folks' over to help. (the crazy irrigation system was developed by the brother of the woman who with her husband built the home and developed the orchard and gardens, they all lived well into their late 80s and early 90s..... the irrigation on top of the ground came about as leaks in the underground pipes started happening, and it was too hard for him to find where the leaks were, so he by-passed that, and put the pvc pipes on top of the ground to make finding the leaks easier....... so says the neighbors!) I've found mine to be considerably easier than I expected, but they're different than yours -- I haven't tried keeping one of the ones with the larger, more textured blooms, which I believe is either a different species, or a hybrid that's very close to being a different species. Mine do okay in bright fluorescent light (plus some indirect sun) most of the year, and last winter they managed just fine in dim fluorescent light. Watering has been tricky for me; I think mine just decided to go semi-dormant or something, because I'd been keeping the soil pretty moist (watering when the top half-inch or so was dry), and then just in the last few weeks, they've started to drop a lot of leaves, and the soil stays wet a lot longer. So now I'm waiting until they're dry a couple inches down (they're in 7- or 8-inch pots), and we'll see if that works better. Humidity is supposed to be a big deal, but I haven't had any complaints, really. Last winter, they were in my bathroom, and the rest of the year they've been grouped with lots of other plants, and that's been fine. I do mist occasionally, especially now that it's gotten cold and dry here, but I don't make a huge point of it. Misting, pebble tray, humidifier, keeping it in a humid room -- you probably do have to do something, but they haven't been that picky with me so far.

My Mama passed almost seven years ago, and I am still working on her fabric stash, but with materials used for quilting and also every other type of material one could need. I started quilting about a year before she died, and my first quilt was a Christmas gift for her, I finished in February. I kept company with her as I was quilting and she watched it come together, not knowing it was for her. She had always wanted to make a quilt, and had started the blocks for a Cathedral Windows, inspired by a friend when we lived in Missouri, as state just famous for it's cottage quilt industry. When one drove through the Ozarks, it was commonplace to see them hung out on clotheslines, to catch the eye of passers-by. She had also made some yo-yos but they disappeared sometime and I've never found them. I wish you much enjoyment with your new hobby. I think you'll find yourself close to her spirit as you work, as I find myself close to my mother when I am in my sewing room, handling the fabrics she had saved over the years. I have made about thirty quilts since then, really surprising myself since making ONE quilt was on my bucket list. LOL. Welcome to the forum, and my condolences as well on your mother's passing. BTW, that is one beautiful design you will be finishing. I also have a quilt cat who loves to lay on my blocks and scatter them too. He keeps me company each morning as I sew, and prefers my sewing room to all the others in this house.

I thought u posted photos here. Oh well. No issue. You folks gave me amazing ideas. I moved the sofa to another part of the room. And now it’s in the middle of re-upholstery!! I’ll try again to post a photo do you all can see how the room looks now.
