I will prune it in early spring, but I have a few questions. Is it fine if I prune 5-10% of the tree? I would like to keep a few small branches in a V shape. Can this harm the tree? I want to remove all the top branches. No point in keeping them, can't even reach that high. I've read that pruning a lot during summer can potentially kill an apricot tree (bleeding it to death), but I'm assuming it would be safe to do it while it's dormant? I've marked the branches that I plan to keep. I will apply a copper spray fungicide on them next week. A week later, I will apply a chlorothalonil fungicide just for some extra protection. In early spring, I will remove the rest of the branches, apply copper spray fungicide. When the leaves open up, chlorothalonil will be applied. Assuming that there would be a lot of new growth in summer, the following spring, I will prune out all the old branches and only keep the new ones. It should be on page 42 of the manual. I don't have that camera. It looks like you press the broken lightning bolt button until you get an icon I can't see very well. You may not be able to disable it in all modes, but I think you probably can. In order to be able to read the manual, I downloaded the one for the A520 on the Canon site (click on Product/Software Manuals), save it in a folder, then rename and back off the extra text until you get to .pdf. Keep that and open in Adobe Acrobat. I don't know the why of that. It downloads as PSA520510CUG-EN.pdfWWUCDownloadFromAkamaServlet What a mess. Also, I couldn't get the right screen in IE, and I had to use Netscape to download. What have they done now? Maybe I need to upgrade my Acrobat Reader. I was able to read the manual. Your friend should have one that came in the box with her camera. If not, help her figure out how to download one. She can print it out. Somehow. Hi jrzgurl: I personally do not know anything about the sony cybershot however my brother has a sony digital (sorry I don't know which one) and loves it...His particular model is much, much bigger than the canon sd600. I purchased the sd600 for my two university ages sons this christmas, they love the camera, very small, but they can still manage the buttons OK (sometimes bigger hands have trouble with these small cameras). The Canon takes an excellent picture and this one is very portable in your purse or pocket. I personally like Canon products.

Red, you are welcome any time! I suppose I should post some pics. Most of them look like a Tyvek box sitting in mud. Really compelling. Love the 60' desk story. Me thinks the seller's "correctness" may have been testosterone-driven. Teeda, no place or situation is ever perfect. The scene up there is complicated and there certainly are issues. Ultimately, for our stage of life, we decided a new, well-built house was the way to go. The newer homes are way out and the ones in town, where we really want to be, are very old and require dedicated maintenance. Or if they have been renovated already, they're very expensive. But you know that. :-) I checked out the Hartford CL...boy are you right! It's like a treasure trove compared to up here. It feels like a little far to drive for a look-see. But maybe I'll figure out other things to do down that way and I'll be able to justify the drive. I recently figured out there is a Home Goods and Tuesday AM down the way (had been driving to Dalton for HG once a summer!!). Not that I really need anything there, but it is fun to look. I'll probably end up saving a lot of $$$ without as much shopping as I'm used to! Val, you are right about this sofa being overpriced. That was really my thought, too. Especially when I saw it. Too bad about the Karastan. Just tell yourself it was probably smelly! ;-)
