I lost a huge amount of chinese fan palm seedlings, as well as one of my canary palms that was planted in the ground. I also lost a surinam cherry and a nagami kumquat. Came close to losing a hirado buntan pomelo, but it came back out above the graft. Ponderosa lemon got taken out, and I believe the small hamlin orange got taken out. My seedling jujube died to the ground, but it has done that in the past and came back up from the roots. So, we'll see what happens with it. Persian lime and variegated eureka lemon took heavy damage but survived. Meyers lemons, red naval, and blood orange all took some damage but survived. Royal Purple Smoke Tree took major damage but quickly came back from the roots. Too soon to tell with the passiflora and tropical hibiscus.

I only planted one, since "Sunflower" is supposed to be a self-fertile cultivar. However, I did add two pawpaw seedlings to my order from Reeseville Ridge Nursery out of Wisconsin this spring just to see how they'll do and because they were only a few dollars each. Right now it's about 1.5 ft tall, so it's added about 10" since it was planted. The first year it only added an inch or two, but last year took off pretty well. I'm hoping it adds as much if not more this year as the root system becomes really established.

I think I have about 2 inches of shredded paper then maybe 10 inches of a mix of paper and the food scraps, dirt, leaves etc. then a cardboard topper. I thought avocado may take a while so I just put a few peelings. The rest I threw in the garden. I have the room for 24+ inches but don't have 24 inches of stuff in the bin now. I also have some old seed starting soil I need to dispose of and may add that to the bin instead of the trash. Thanks for the advice and encouragement. I was worried to buy worms! I think I am getting one pound from these people plus some vermicompost bedding (it costs a couple extra $ for the vc) http://www.greenmountainsoil.com/buyworms.html Karen Here is a link that might be useful: http://www.greenmountainsoil.com/buyworms.html

Enzaenza, I did an exhaustive search of vanities recently, mainly because I needed it to be 18" deep and most stock vanities sold online or anywhere for that matter are 21". You will pay more for a custom piece. But if you shop around, you can find deals. The vanity I purchased at one retailer was $700 more at another retailer. Like you, I was looking for furniture style (with feet) and didn't want it to look like a box with feet attached as an afterthought. Something else that complicated my search was decorative side panels. Because the side of my vanity is the first thing you see when entering the bathroom, the side had to look good, IOW not a flat panel. One company, Wellborn I think, was going to charge me $425 a side to swap out the slab side panel for a decorative one. Crazy. I ended up ordering a 48 X 18 Shiloh vanity from their Furniture Style Vanity line and am very pleased with it. Inset style, soft close, full extension, custom glazed finish etc. I can post a picture of my new vanity, if you like. Here's a link to the Shiloh vanities: Shiloh furniture style vanities
