I agree and wanted to applaud you for doing that, too. I've never participated much before and am having fun with the assignments. Yes, thank you both! Pam

Osteospermum? Wow,,I love to shoot pics of flowers but to tell the truth, I barely know weeds from water mellons, and that is sad when one considers I grew up on a dairy farm in Ohio....LOL Having lived in both Texas & Florida I can testify first hand that nothing tastes better than true tree ripened oranges. It would appear that Clarido has inadvertently stumbled upon my dream house. It also appears that their are three generations of ladies in that house. Seeing that she is the oldest lady in the picture I will concede that in this instance she may refer to herself as the old lady, but in reality judging by appearance, she is far from what one would call an "Old Lady" On the other hand, I would like to add an "Old Man". Actually it is a self portrait that I took while out stalking deer. I posted this pic on my Yahoo profile and I have had a dozen ladies ask me if I will come sit in their flower garden as a "Gnome" lawn ornament....LOL I sent this pic and my profile to the "Lonely Hearts Club" and it came back stamped.."We're not that lonely yet"!!

I would go with a deep brown leather. Brass nail head detail would be nice since you have the back wall of panneled wood (which I love). But if you go with a leather sofa the window treatments are going to look out of place...like someone said on here "It's a slippery slop." Is the panneled wall the one you just had done. I thought I read something about it in your other post?

I have made the first two recipes. The second one, my mother used to make that recipe all the time. And the last one I have had at a party. All three are great! Cheese Tea Biscuits 2 C. sharp cheese, grated 2 C. flour 2 C. rice cereal 2 sticks butter, softened 1/2 tsp. red pepper Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix all ingredients together. Roll into a roll about 2-3 inches thick. Cover with plastic or aluminum foil and refrigerate until it becomes hard. Slice into thin tea biscuits. Bake in preheated oven on an ungreased cookie sheet for about 10 minutes. Do not cook until brown or they will be overdone. Makes about 36. Cheese Pennies Yield: 3 dozen 1/2 cup butter or margarine, at room temperature 1/2 pound grated sharp cheddar cheese, at room temperature 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 envelope dry onion soup mix cayenne pepper pecan halves optional Combine butter and cheese and mix well. Add rest of ingredients, except pepper and pecans. Add a few grains of cayenne pepper. Mix thoroughly. Divide into 4 pieces. Roll each into a cylinder (silver dollar size), wrap in foil and freeze. To serve, partially defrost roll, cut slices 1/4 inch thick, top with pecan halves if desired and bake on a greased cookie sheet at 400 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from pan while warm to prevent breaking. Cheese Walnut Wafers 4 oz cream cheese, softened 8 oz. blue cheese, crumbled 1/4 cup butter, softened 1 and 1/2 cups flour Pinch of salt 1 tsp. ground red pepper 2/3 cup walnuts, crushed 2 egg yolks, beaten Combine cheeses and butter and mix until blended. Slowly add flour and remaining ingredients until well blended. Shape into 2 log shapes and chill for at least 8 hours. Cut dough into 1/4-inch slices and bake for 12 minutes at 350 degrees on an ungreased baking sheet. ***I never rolled them into a log and refrigerated. I just pinched off amt the size of a walnut and rolled them in the palm of my hand, then pressed them with a fork to flaten OR flatten when a pecan/walnut halve.
