Before our pro team The Predators, it was the Knights. I've been going for as long as I could drive to the games. My boss is French-Canadian (obviously a hockey lover!) and it's a love we share. He gave me his tickets (because he got better ones given to him! and I hog happy to have the "leftovers"). It's the Stanley Cup playoffs right now. The Nashville Predators are playing the Chicago Blackhawks in the Western (don't ask me to explain this part, cause I totally don't understand how Nashville could be anything "western") conference quarterfinals. I've never been to a Tennessee Titans game (that's our football team), but did see the "Music City Miracle" (the playoff game that we won in the final seconds to go to the superbowl a million years ago, our first year, I think) on a huge tv with dozens of other people standing around shouting. That was cool too. West, I am a 49ers fan. When Joe Montana was playing. Loved to watch his poetry in motion. I likened him to Johhny Unitas. Love that you are not a fair weather fan. Today we are having another couple over for a BBQ - sometimes it is nice not to have a gang and just sit and enjoy a quiet evening with grown up conversation. Tomorrow we are thinking about going to the NJ shore (I am cringing at the thought, I don't care for the shore) so we'll see. Maybe I will send the men folk off and have a canning day to myself. when parents are never home it does effect the kids. I still feel guilty for working two jobs and on the weekends while DD was young. i had no other choice but i wish i had.you made the right choice, it should be much better now. good luck!!!

I like Gail Sheehy! Second Adulthood, indeed. I don't like to be introduces as "90+ years young" - it makes me think of second childhood. I like to be grown up, took me long enough to get there.
