two-legged cat and amputation

Hi.

I adopted a two-legged cat - has front legs. She's a snowshoe.

Her legs are fine in back until just under the knee and then they're useless and just drag behind her. I noticed that the claws cannot retract and thus they cause her to get caught in the carpet and slow down her movement. She moves plenty fast and her thighs are muscular i think.

At this time, i'm just trying to keep the claws trimmed back but i think she'd be better off without those useless limbs. At a minimum i need to declaw those back feet.

Any ideas on this? Declawing is about 150 here so i figure amputation will be about twice that. Anybody know?
