Essie, I feel your pain. Gardening is a learning experience. Last year, I lost 90% of my WS to the drought, so frustrated. This year, things were actually going well when we got hit with a rainstorm yesterday. We got so much rain in such a short time that it wash all the dirt along with seedlings out of most of my WS containers. I was able to save some but now I have lots of columbine and no idea from which containers they came from. Seedlings that I don't know what they are, have been put in a pot label mystery plants. One thing that made feel better was the astrantia major that I've been trying to grow for 3 years finally sprouted. All the dirt was gone but they were still in the container. Hi Kathy, The basic answer is foliage. The japanese honeysuckle has scalloped edges and this other one does not. Also, this one's foliage is just a bit more "blue green" than "green green". I'll tell you that the ONLY reason I recognized it as different is that someone else id'ed it on a plant rescue and we all took notes. I'm still not sure which lonicera it is. I guess I may have to wait until it flowers. It if turns out to be some hybrid or something foreign, I think I can easily rip it out then. I'll really enjoying having this honeysuckle get cleared out. I feel like I can really do something with this woodland now!

It kind of makes you eel your 'hood' is special, huh? Years ago when I was still living in SD, a TV pilot was filmed in my neighborhood, but all the filming was done at night and included a house fire scene. They actually painted the house black, broke out a few windows, and looking at the house you would have thought for sure there had been a fire. Raquel Wealch was the main star, and there may have been others that have now 'made it', but can't remember. My oldest DS lives in Wilmington NC, where several tv shows have been filmed, currently, One Tree Hill. It just so happens my best friend in IL son is the writer(Mark Schwahn)which gives my son and GS opportunities to be on the set. GS was in a recent episode, but in the crowd I couldn't get a glimpse of him. Mark also wrote Coach Carter with Samuel L Jackson and I was lucky enough to walk the red carpet. He flew his Mom out and she called to tell me Mark had a ticket for me also~he knows she and I are closer than sisters and wanted her to feel comfortable in the 'big LA environment'. We had an awesome time and it was one of those once-in-a-lifetime things. Anyway, not bragging, but certain things like filming in your very own neighborhood or going to a movie opening, don't happen often. It makes for a nice memory. Hope tou get to see a celeb or two, Lynn! ;o)

Thanks Circuspeanut! That is great! I think we are installing the tiles long side vertically. As far as our ends go, there are bullnose pieces available, so we will make straight line finishes. I'm glad to see this because I did think about doing something like they did above the door, but when I saw it in the photo, I thought that it wasn't finished. I did like seeing them go to the ceiling in this photo, but then again, their cabinets go all the way up. We are going to end ours at the bottom of the crown, aka the top of the cabinet. If the bullnose pieces hadn't all broken when they were loading the skid, I might have my tile up by today! We are postponed now (due to schedules) until 3/26 weekend. Thanks for this post.
