I have a similar small space and used a skinny oval table -- might that work in your space? There seem to be more oval tables available than round in that size. Sturbridge Yankee Workshop has a few, but I think they might be too tall for you. Good luck!

Would you consider an old piano stool? I have one I'm using as an end table. It's 14" in diameter and the height is adjustable. I've linked to a picture of one which has a lot of carving on the legs, but if you scout out Ebay, you can find some with less decoration. It took me about two months of looking on Ebay to find one I liked. But they are very sturdy and not easy to tip over.

Have you looked at garden centers? There are lots of small tables that may work for you.

Can you do short? Would something like this tabouret table work? You can find them on ebay for under $200. I got a nice old one last year. It's solid oak and extremely heavy and sturdy given how little it is.

bungalow, that would work great. I have seen some that were very pricey, but will check ebay again.

Piano stool or even an old drafting stool (have seen some cool ones, just priced too high) would also work. I'm always looking for something unusual -- just haven't found all the right elements yet! (Right size, price, and style!)

You shouldn't have any problem finding the width, it's the height that may be problematic.

No, I did not post about this table. But I think I only paid like $35 or so for the table when I bought it from Pier One a few months ago. The style was called Bonaparte I think. They have a console table and a round table also. I am sure it is same table - it was made in China as are so many other items.

I just had this same dilemma a month ago except I wanted a square table that was 16" square or less. I googled telephone stands and came up with some smaller tables. I wound up ordering mine from furniturebutler.net. They had great service, lots of choices, round, oval and square. My table arrived all in one piece packaged very well with no damage. And it was less than $150. HOpe this helps you!

hmmm... I may have just found a contender. I have never ordered furniture from Overstock before, but this price is very tempting!
