@pjb448 yep! Prices aren't too bad with shipping at XLB: https://shop.xlbpalmtrees.com/products/kumaon-palm-wagnerius?variant=16508827909. Note these are wagnerianus trees. It says /Takil but he doesn't actually sell any Takil trees, he's just mistaken by the old Waggie/Takil confusion. Pictures are of Fortunei plants which is also weird, but as a customer I can verify they are indeed Wagnerianus. An alternative is Montreal Palms (http://montrealplants.com/?s=wagnerianus&post_type=product). The trees aren't as big for the price and larger trees cost much more than at XLB. Shipping is extra and he doesn't give you an exact figure - you don't know until your card is charged because he charges you close to cost for shipping and doesn't know what the cost is until he brings it to post - it's based on weight. From my experience buying smaller trees makes more sense from Montreal palms, but bigger trees are best bought at XLB, provided they have the species and size you're looking for, economically speaking. I know that XLB will charge maximum $250 shipping to the US, so you can order as many trees as you want if you're buying enough to exceed $250 in shipping costs. The downside is that the minimum shipping cost is $50, so buying 3-gallon trees on their own is usually a waste of money. I don't know if there is a maximum per order at Montreal palms as I haven't bought in bulk from there yet, but I do plan to this coming Spring. I want some of his 10' needle palms!

Filtering water removes chlorine pretty much. The cleanest water is distilling. This news is not new, health nuts have been warning all who will listen to avoid tap water as not all is known of what's in it. We get a report of what's in our city water and there already is a list of long worded chemicals, usually in low parts per million. But, when fish and frogs are being born with extra limbs and male and female organs, etc. if I were of child bearing age, I would think twice about what's in my water. But, there are certainly a lot of things we cannot avoid and better not to live in fear, just do the best you can. How many people die or are maimed in auto accidents per year and yet no one really worries about that.

I think this is a good starting point. I looked for the recipe I first used but think it must have been on a rum bottle or?? One thing I've learned is to NOT put the mint in the simple syrup (when making the syrup) instead of muddling it. I did that one time per a friend's instruction and YUCK it made the mojito taste like mouthwash. In a 16 ounce mixing glass, gently muddle together: 1 large sprig spearmint .75 oz simple syrup Add: 1 oz of fresh squeezed lime juice and pulp 2 oz white rum (sometimes called Silver Rum) I use Castillo Silver 3 oz club soda or sparkling mineral water Top with crushed ice and mix until drink is combined and glass is frosty. I used to use club soda, but now use Gerolsteiner mineral water that I buy at Trader Joe's. I've tried other mineral waters, but it's the only one I like I'd not use any other...if you can't find it, use club soda and use a name brand, not a house brand. I like Schweppes the best. Just commenting on the part about using Poland Spring water. It's not spring water at all. The trucks pull up to Moose Pond in Maine which is a large body of water and I watch them, from my sun porch, take thousands of gallons of water out at least three times a week. Mind you, the water is suctioned out right next to the boat ramp which is disgusting with oil. Four towns are fighting to have it ceased but, because of the tax revenue on Poland Springs, they have hit one barrier after another. I make it a point to tell people the truth about Poland Springs and many many other bottled waters. They then transmit it to a cleansing factory which is based on the cleansing process that cleans ocean water. Yes it began with springs which are rampant in Maine and that water is potable as I've stopped and had it on occasion but it's natural. So essentially you are drinking water that has been cleansed with chemicals, just so you know.
