So sorry for the sad news. It's funny how you can be reminded of tragedies every time you go by a stretch of road. Thirty years ago, there was a cop chasing 6 teens piled into a truck...the truck missed a curve by an intersection and 4 of the teens were killed, 2 injured. There was a lot of criticism around the chase and it changed the police policies around high speed pursuits. And they added a stop sign at that intersection. Every time I stop there, I still remember the tragedy. There's another road nearby that haunts me every time I go by. Over 35 years ago, a little 8 year old girl left her home at 6 pm to walk up the street to visit a friend. She never came home. She was bludgeoned to death not 300 yds from her home. The case has never been solved.

Hi Linda--COOL looking quilt! I used to think it was the quilting end of it that slowed me down, but it's actually (for me) putting the borders on--isn't that weird?? Then, the next step--making the quilt sandwich, well, I don't mind doing that except that if the quilt is bigger than my banquet table, I have to go to my mum's to spray (she has 2 tables and more room). But once that's done and I figure out how to quit--I'm good to go! I too like to hand quilt--very relaxing!

Beautiful landscape scenes despite your drought! Thanks for sharing those. That seedling is gorgeous. I love both the color and the form! Your first year with seedlings has been so impressive. I saw someone on NGA about a week ago reposted your Smoke Scream seedling pic on the September blooms thread and said that's the daylily they most want. That one is quite the homerun!
