No I don't, and it actually annoys me when people forward mine and everyone else's email address to everyone in their address book. I have nothing against forwards, but it's just way too easy to NOT send everyone's information.

I delete them before forwarding. No point in me looking at them anyway. I wouldn't know one person from another. But, I delete them so all those names don't get into the wrong hands.

I'm with brenda. And if I get an email that has ten pages of "forwarding" addresses before the email even starts, it goes right in the trash bin.

Yes, I do, because I'm nosy. Maybe I'll recognize some of the names, tho I usually don't. I once received a fwd email from a co-worker and I noticed it came to her from another co-worker. I felt "in the loop".

I get annoyed too, at having to scroll through all the addresses to get to the mail. I really wish people would learn how to use their BCC's.

I look to LOL I am just nosy too but the "reason" I give is cuz I love to read everyones names to see how clever they are on coming up with them....I love looking at unique names or try and figure out what they mean...Stacy

I do for the same reason as Stacy..love to see the creative names!

Well, beings I'm self taught on this computer, and for 12 years I've always used AOL I didn't know how to delete all those other names from before. Or how to use BCC. Moni even called me and tried to talk me through it over the phone. No luck. So, I sat here one snowy day, and finally conquered it. I think/hope.

If I get a FW: email I delete it. I don't even open it.

Everyone that forwards anything without deleting and bbc'ing will never get any jokes or tips from me. I don't like my name going around the world just because they are to lazy to delete such info.

In fact, I usually ask to be removed from their list.

And, all forwarded mail just gets deleted.

Moni

When I see an email on Yahoo!, choose to send it to some friends and press the "Forward" box, I'm pretty sure that I can then add my own message, or highlight part of the message that I received and delete it, if I choose.

something I just learned...when you get that email that has been forwarded umpteen times!! You know the lines running vertical down the left of the email....sometimes you can delete them easily the same way you delete the forward headers...but for the other times I use this..

Put the email in the forward or reply mode...to the left of the wording where the line is...if you're using outlook express...under "FORMAT" there is a "decrease indent" option...click that until those vertical lines are gone!!

This is one of my pet peeves. I can't understand why people still do this - it is such an invasion of privacy and an open invitation for spreading viruses, not to mention a spammers' dream having dozens of valid e-mail addresses cruising through the net unfiltered.

I rarely get these any more because most people seemed to have learned this is extremely poor netiquette. But on the rare occassion that I do, I will reply back to the sender politely requesting I be deleted from her e-mails because of spam and virus issues.

Most people get the point. And for the one that didn't, I had to hit Reply All and describe the issues of internet e-mail privacy, virus spreading and spam fodder.
