Glad Everyone is enjoying them! Kay, Red Hot Boom was really pretty in person. All of Nicole Harry's were. Carol and I even discussed her since I was surprised to see daylilies from Florida doing so well. Mantis, Yes, I took all the pics. I could of taken even more! The discussion about Nicole Harry and hardiness included a couple ideas. One, Carol dips all of her daylilies in s solution (I can't remember off the top of my head.) It seems that daylilies are often harboring a disease (can't remember name!) that causes the tops to die off sort of like a failure to thrive. She first heard about it when there was trip to daylily place in a warmer location, and many of the attendees daylilies that they brought home were croaking. A mass death was occurring. So it seems that the disease sort of lurks where warmer, but in colder areas it kills them. A couple very well known hybridizers were the ones who knew what was happening and suggested the dip. Two, the snow blanket that occurs around here in winter is a good insulator and protects them. ngraham, You really should go! It is amazing to see so many varieties. This weeknd, a couple friends and I are going to Cottage Garden Daylilies, we make a trip of it every year. I really feel lucky to have such great daylily places around here. Remy

I'm coming by as often as I can too, but not contributing a darn thing. I have lots of "ideas" and "want to do's", but just not the mental or physical energy to get anything much done. First I had sore arms which I totally understood and vowed to be more careful--now my wrists and hands get this terrible "tingling" achy feeling that even wakes me up, so not doing anything I don't have to do. Karen, maybe Punk could paint you a bench if she ever has a minute to sit down. Or you could just find the fabric or even napkins or those decals with a design you like and Mod Podge it on a little bench. Just a thought. MM, sometimes it takes someone brave enough to speak up in order for change to happen. Let's hope SD says something to his own kids to encourage them to help out a bit. So sorry for your DM, know it must be hard for her. Janet, I sure hope you are getting back to normal again. So sorry you've been feeling so bad. I'm glad for the boy and anyone else who benefits from the glasses. I wish everyone's vision problems were correctable with surgery and or technology. My son has 70% vision in one eye and is near sighted in the other eye. His low vision eye is correctable with contact lenses but not with glasses. He says he doesn't really use that eye. He's too old for me to make him do much of anything. He is unable to tolerate contact lenses. :( Luckily he has good depth perception. There is no surgery for him. Not vision but hearing: My niece was born deaf in one ear and partially deaf in the other ear with no physical reason. She has completely lost her hearing in the last several months. This has happened before for brief periods of time but she was warned that it could become permanent. The doctors will tell her if she is eligible for a cochlear implant in the next few weeks. In the meantime her DH and son are learning American sign language. She learned some as a child but has never needed it. She tried the cochlear implant to attain full hearing before but something was wrong with it. So sad for her that after 40 years of hearing it is gone... So hope the implant will work for her.
