American Idol super votes new method of voting

Have you heard about the new super votes? I personally don't like it and think it's unfair. Many people don't have or use Facebook, they will not be able to support their favorite with the new super votes. I also think that it is changing it from a talent contest to a popularity contest.

I will be supporting Kree because she has an amazing talent, her voice is beautiful. I spoke to my friend and they will be in the audience to support Kree this week, if they show her family in the audience it will be them. They are very excited.

Don't you think it turned into a popularity contest (especially among the youngest voters) long ago? That's basically why I stopped watching.

Ugh... that does sounds very unfair.

I have to say though that despite the multiple voting, Vote for the Worst and whatever else has screwed up the voting over the years I've almost always been happy with the final contestant who won. The only years I've disagreed with 'America' was when Rueben, Fantasia and Scotty won.

Incredible show last night. I think it was the best show so far. I was thoroughly entertained. For the first time, Sanjaya wasn't bad. His performance was much better than anything he's done before. The person who really bothers me and I think could very well be booted off tonight is Phil Stacey. He was the first one to perform. I just don't like him. Something about that guy really bothers me? And I think that out of all the performances last night, his was the weakest. Until Sanjaya's performance last night, I thought he should be the one to go. Guess we'll find out tonight. I agree that LaKisha should have listened to Lulu. I wasn't as impressed by her last night as I usually am. I'm adding Jordin to my favs too. And I rather like Haley, the girl with the mole and thought she was pretty good last night, though not the best. But I don't think she can win this. Melinda is just awesome as far as I'm concerned. I think she'll do well wheather she wins this or not. I look forward to her performances every week. Joy

Well, I don't mean to sound catty..but I am glad Brenna is gone. Heather too.... My favorites right now are Mandisa and Lisa...Paris too. I really do think a guy is gonna win it this year tho... We missed most of the results show on Thursday 3/2. Some Mormon Missionaries came to the door and we can't pass up the opportunity to talk to them. We are the same way with JW's. Would love to see them get saved!! They surely got the Gospel!! Some things are just more important that who's getting knocked off a show.........I read on the message boards that Simon and Paula pretty much acted like brats....

I started watching again this year. Honestly, when Fantasia won that year, I quit watching. What a travesty that was. Anyhow.......I really like the line up of judges. Harry Connick does tell it like it is. I loved it when he said, you gotta lay off the runs, especially when you're bad at them. I got soooo sick of the "'screaming" that they called singing...and the runs....ugh, stick a fork in my eye. I would much prefer to hear a singer hit a big note at the end, and hold it. I think that's much harder than those extremely overused runs. I don't think Malaya should have made it through. I picked every single guy right. I think the tall girl, with the gap in her teeth should have made it over Malaya. Caleb is my fav guy to win. The girls, hmmmm, I like Jena and MK.

I liked Amanda, but I knew it would be this week or next as she doesn't fit the mold for Idol, nor did she really try. I also don't think she had any intention of winning this thing, it was exposure she was after and she got it. The reason she rarely smiled was because it didn't fit her image. Did you see her when she finally did, egged on by Simon? She looked like the girl next door! Put her in scrubs, with her hair pulled back, add the smile (she was TRYING not to on Idol), she's probably a great nurse. Wonder if she dyed her hair just for Idol? Hmmmm. I think she took this opportunity for everything it was worth and on her terms... well played IMHO. Somebody was definitely waiting in the wings to sign her up and she's probably glad she's no longer married to Idol. IMHO, Kristy's next. Then Carly. bestlawn took the words out of my head..."She's a great technician with no appeal." Spot on!

Alisande and Lydia, I agree with everything you said. It isn't a singing competition any longer. And some of it is the judges faults for some of the people they put through and save.

I won't watch til they get rid of Zoanette. And if they don't, that's fine, I just won't be watching at all.

But Raven, I will be hoping for your little girl!

I agree, and if it wasn't for Kree, I would refuse to watch it till zonette was gone too. Really awful that someone with real talent lost their spot to her.

Seems like they are trying to run off their viewers.

Have hated everything about it the last two years and don't watch anymore. Seems like it's not about the singers..it's about the judges.

oh man Kree was awesome again tonight, I hope she gets far.

My friend was there in a multi color stripes blouse standing for Kree she looked great.
