Bless your sweet heart, Bigack. That is a tough disease to battle, I am so glad that he doesn't have to do so alone.

I would imagine it's a relief to have him close, like you said. Good thoughts are coming to you, and your son. Hope he gets well.

Positive thoughts being sent your way. I hope he can find the right therapy and the meds that will will work for him quickly. It's tough finding what works for each individual but having family to support him is a big help.

Just be sure to care for him without enabling (disabling) him. It's a fine line, I know. Give your love and support but HE must be held responsible for managing his illness.

If it turns out he is Bipolar or whatever you can get a lot of help both for you and him through NAMI. They have support for families and those suffering from mental health disorders from the mildest to the most severe. I've posted a link below.

I am so glad to hear he is coming home! It's hard when you are not yourself. I have a history of changing jobs, more and more so as I get older. I'm finding it harder and harder to deal with stress these days - my nerves just can't take some of the things I tolerated when younger. As a sufferer of depression all my life I understand how hard it is. You are doing the right thing by just letting him come home and giving him support. It's not easy but at least at home he can just concentrate on getting better in a safe environment for him.

I know how your feeling believe me. Lots of prayers and good wishes for you and your son. My youngest DD is going through some tough times right now too. She's not making the best choices in life (just quit her job and has 2 kids). I'm just butting out. She's 31, and will do what she wants anyway. But it doesn't make us not worry. I know your stomach just flips and turns and you can't keep your thoughts on anything.

Thank you all so much! Talked to him this eve, and he's coming home tomorrow, it'll be so glad to get him home, and get some appointments set up, etc.

Good thoughts and prayers for your family. Hope your son gets the help he needs. Mom's home cooking is the first place to start along with a little TLC.
