Where, oh where did I see that recipe?

Tell me this happens to someone else besides me. I saw a recipe for little apple pies made, using wonton wrappers, either on the CF, in a magazine or somewhere in the last 2 days. They were folded in triangles and I think they were baked not fried. By the time I read all the posts on the CF, look at even just a few of the cooking magazines I get, plus emails from some bloggers, I can't remember where I saw what.

Anyone else see the recipe I'm seeking? I think the recipe made about 50 of those cute little pies.

I'm having a family trim the tree party(?) the 3rd and I thought they would be neat to have. My kids said I should cut back on the work I put in to decorating so I suggested this was a way they could help. This is in lieu of a heavy hors d'oeuvres party we usually have for our family Christmas get together. Everyone will be contributing food.

I think I saw that. Did it look like a ballerina's skirt? Someone was looking for the pink columbine you are describing. I don't know if it was ever found. It couldn't have been more than two months ago if it is the pic I saw. Did you search the forum?

I'm not having that problem, although I have them in only one location at my house. In fact they are about to be moved to make room for other things. Hopefully they'll like their new home.

Doesn't work.........I have a ream of "to try" recipes at home. LOL Now, I've separated them at least in to Sweet and Savory. I will pull out one or two, check the ingredients. If I need to buy something, I add it to my grocery list and leave the recipe out on the counter (or at least on top of the pile) and plan to make it within a few days!! Then, I try to remember to make notes about servings, how we liked it, any changes I made, and changes I might make in the future. Then it goes in "the other pile", waiting to be filed in my notebook/recipe book. Sigh........so many recipes, so little time! Deanna

No I don't know them, and my comments were harsh. Mainly because of that innocent little girl, now she will surely know that finances were part of the reason her Daddy hanged himself, and if it does not occur to her this year, within a few years and certainly when she's older, she'll most likely think back to her extravagant birthday party and blame herself. That is why I said what I did about her mother. That kid could have had a $15 cake from the grocery store, 8 friends and pin the tail on the donkey and been just as happy. That party was to indulge her mother's ego. But you know how I am about people not being personally responsible--and yes, it was his fault for not putting his foot down, but regardless as to how much she knew about their finances, her spending was over the top and vulgar. In fact, her life seemed vapid and vulgar, to me. As to many of them. Just what I deduce from what I'm shown, and what they agreed to be a part of. I don't know why I tune in when I do (haven't watched all the franchises, or any complete season) but it's like watching a train wreck.

If I make these ahead of time, do you think I could freeze them before I bake them?

OH wow! I love it! I've wanted to make a pie but it's too much for us, this will be great and doesn't have to just be the apple either. Or you could apply this same thing with squares of pie crust too!

It says in my Farm Journal Pie Cookbook that you can freeze pies, turnovers and tarts before or after you bake them, so don't see why you couldn't freeze these.
