I know you aren't asking for BM paints, but my Uncle is an interior designer and always uses BM Linen White. It's a nice creamy white. You could always ask SW for a comparable color.

I worked for a painting company that used SW products. For the trim, the most commonly used white was Dover White.

Technically, these are both whites, but a far cry from stark white. Good luck. I like your idea of the beadboard. Nice.

All of our trim (including quite a bit of beadboard) is SW 7008 "Alabaster". We also considered Dover White but the Alabaster looked better against our hardwood floor color.

My trim is also SW Alabaster and I am currently painting my kitchen cabinets Alabaster too. Alabaster is more whot than cream but it has a slight yellow undertone. I painted the beadboard in my bathroom is SW Navaho White which is much creamier.

Behr Cottage White.

I'm not endorsing Behr paints! Just the color. :)

I'm currently painting my kitchen the dover white color
by SW and it's looking really good!Dover is a nice creamy white but it's still pretty "white", all my trim is already this color and it's always looked nice since we built the house 3 years ago. I can't wait til the kitchen is all finished!
I'm actually using Zinsser perma-white paint tinted to match dover white and I love this paint! I'm definatly an amature! LOL and it's going on really well and seem to hold up very well to scratch test after only one coat, I'm hoping to get second coat going this week so I can finish and get my kitchen put back together ASAP :)

Here's how to tell about undertones.
All off-whites are made that way by adding some other colors in tiny amounts, and they influence the color, so you can ask the paint mixing person which pigments are used in the colors you are considering.
But to see the undertones, hold the white chip up to a series of colors, and the undertone will be clear when you hold it up to its opposite color. For instance, yellow undertones show up when you hold the white up to a purple background...green undertones show against red or pink...purple tones show against yellow.
Try it in natural light, and again in the place you will be using the paint. Light can make all the difference.

I have been searching through all the old posts looking for a trim color for my SW summer white. Our floor is a white tile so I was thinking that painting the trim white would look strange. Any ideas? Summer white looks yellow/cream.

We have white trim with white trim and it looks fine. I have found off white trim can look 'dirty' after a while. Maybe too much yellow? I am a fan of BM super white. It gives a clean crisp look.

We are currently building and all of our ceilings and our trim are SW antique white.. We have cream cupboards with glaze and I love the combo.. But, I do have dark SW stillwater walls... Love it!

I'm currently a big fan of Benjamin Moore Affinity "Mascarpone" as a creamy white that doesn't get too yellow or beige (so much so that I'm a broken record on the subject). The chip is AF-20, so if you liked it in your room you possibly could have it matched in SW. Slghtly yellower but also really lovely is the hideously named "Mayonnaise". Farrow an Ball's "Pointing" is a classic trim cream that you could have matched, too. Our builder usually matches BM "Cotton Balls" in SW for trim in their craftsman style homes, which I like, but I found it just a teeny bit grayer/bluer than I wanted for our house. I love Bronwynsmom's tips for seeing undertones--I will try that next time, as sometimes my eye can fool me. Something I've found helpful is to keep a chip of BM "Decorator White" handy and hold it against any other white I'm looking at. Not a perfect method, since it too has an undertone, but helpful. If you have already chosen your wall colors, hold your trim sample up to all of them--your gut will probably tell you whether the undertones compliment each other or not.
