One pancake only. On it's own plate. Lots of (real) butter. Sausage (links) and "dippy" eggs (over easy) on a separate plate. Syrup in a separate ramekin on the side.
Carefully pull the white over the top of the yolk to the side. Salt the yolk. Put one bite of sausage on the fork. Then one bite of pancake. Dip each bite of pancake/sausage into the yoke. When egg yolks are gone, dip each bite of remaining pancake in syrup.

I break my egg over the one pancake, get the yolk on the pancake and a bite of sausage on the fork and in it goes. Yum!

I like to make a hole in the middle of the other pancake and let the butter melt and let the middle of the pancake soak up the butter.

I like a plain pancake, nothing fancy with maple syrup put on a little at a time. I order bacon, eggs over med, and toast. I put the eggs on the pancake.

I rarely eat pancakes and if I do I might eat one. I find them kind of nauseating... I like french toast or waffles though. Syrup or a fruit topping on mine. No drippy runny eggs... ICK! I like mine over hard or scrambled.

Not a big pancake person. If I have to eat at IHOP I get the international "crepe" (even those are rather meh) breakfast with scramble egg and the lingonberry butter on the side. Generally I ask for all ham and special order it very brown so they actually grill it instead of warming it or taking it out of warmer.

It's odd but our IHOPs seem to do better sandwiches and burgers than they do breakfast. All their breakfast stuff tastes like it came off a steam table. Actually I know some of it does. They precook their meats like bacon and sausage. I had to attend a meeting at IHOP just yesterday. I had the Tuscan chicken sandwich. One of their better items.

We have one diner that still makes waffles the old fashioned way. Not those thick doughy Belgium things. I like a traditional crisp waffle with strips of bacon cooked right in.

With toast or hashbrowns to dip I like my eggs basted. If I have eggs with pancakes,french toast or waffles they must be on a separate plate.

I walked in my IHOP today around 4 oclock pm. It was extremely crowded and noisy. I noticed the kitchen plate holding area had about a dozen plates with the short stack pancakes ready to serve. We sat and ordered the free pancakes plus 2 coffees and one side of bacon. The bill came to $7.57, two bucks each for coffees, ,three for bacon, plus fast-food tax. They wouldn't let you order the pancakes to go. Not exactly a bargain, but I ate plenty and won't need any dinner. I looked at the menu, they had one breakfast I would have liked- the Senior Sampler, one egg, one pancake, plus potatoes.

How do I like them? On someone else's plate. I'm not a pancake (or waffle) fan.

I can't eat pancakes anymore but when I did, I liked a stack of them with a pat of butter on each pancake and maple syrup on top.

No eggs or sausage for me.

I will frequently choose IHOP when I'm out shopping for the day in a city just down the highway (it's not like there are no stores nearby, that place just has all the stores I need together).

Pancakes -- regular buttermilk stack, love that melted butter (will have to try the "hole in the middle" technique!) and regular "maple" syrup (I think I'd pass out if I ever tried the real stuff!). With scrambled eggs (not runny) and, um, some pieces of meat which I shouldn't eat. And usually a glass of iced tea.

Last year I was out shopping and stopped into the IHOP. Noticed the parking lot was crowded. Yup, it was free pancake day, and I didn't realize it. Service was kind of slow and the place was too noisy for me, so I avoid free pancake day now.

Try as I might, I cannot make good pancakes at home! Somebody recently told me that you have to toss the first 2 pancakes, because they're never good. I doubt, tho, that's gonna make me a winning pancake maker! Thank goodness for IHOP!

The only place, other than home, I eat pancakes is at IHOP. Short Stack regular pancakes with syrup or on occasion blueberry syrup and melted butter. I enjoy Free Pancake Day a lot. The noise is usually people having a good time and when people have enjoyed themselves they usually donate more. I went with several friends we waited only 10 min. for a table. We had a great time talking and laughing and eating. The service was a bit slow but very good. Later that night I talked with a friend who is a manager at that IHOP to see how well our community had donated to CMN. He said it was a record for the store. YEA!!!!! He also said there were very few people this year who came, ate only the free pancakes and didn't donate. It is a great way to draw in the money for a good charity. I hope IHOP will continue to do this fundraiser for many years.

With melted butter--and lots of it! Syrup on the side like angelaid. I like sausage links with it. I think we'll have that for dinner tonight!
