Pie crust help

Chi

I need to make pie crust today for a Thanksgiving potluck tomorrow at work. I got rid of my food processor when I moved and I haven't gotten a chance to get a new one yet.

I'm going to do Nancy's vodka pie crust but I've never made it without a food processor before. I do have a pastry cutter - has anyone successfully done it by hand? I know that sounds like a silly question given the history of pie making but I want to make sure there isn't something about that recipe that can't be done by hand. :) I haven't made pie in years so I don't have the whole "this is what it should look like" feeling down yet.

I also have a Vitamix blender...do you think pulsing the butter in might work similarly to a food processor? It's so powerful and I use it to make crumbs all the time.

I hardly ever make pie crust so I'm worried about messing it up by doing it by hand. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks.
