I'm somewhere between the two extremes, but the cat I sleep with (and I mean that literally, as in feline, not jazz musician) stirs things up quite a bit.

No, I sleep very still. I can't roll over because usually have a couple of cats in bed with me. Jody wraps the blankets and sheets around him like a burrito.

Vewy still. When DH is gone, making the bed is a snap.

Sounds like we have some cat people here.. I have 2 cats that allow me to sleep with them, but they take all the covers and 1 even takes my pillow...That along with the purring, thank goodness I don't require much sleep....

When I have the bed to myself I sleep very still, but most nights I share the bed with 3 dogs with a combined weight of them right at 300 pounds. They are not tiny and the Great Dane does a lot of circling and digging to make a nest for himself.

Go to bed sleeping on my left side, stir little until around 5 when it's potty time, lay back down finish sleeping on my right.
My sleepmates are three pillows, so we wrestle very little.
Thus bed is easy to make when I get up.

Jen - Same as you. When TG is home, the bed looks as if a fmaily slept in it. When I'm alone, I can usually just flip the corner back, arrange the pillows and it is made!

Well, Mrs. Nosey, mine is not made yet. I usually make it before leaving the house, but I had Easter Bunny thoughts on my mind. :)

With my practice grand child not having "real" grandparents living here, I put on my bunny ears, hopped in my car, and took her an Easter bunny (soft, fluffy, stuffed) and a CD of childrens songs.

I need to head in there, and make mine, and Jerry's bed.

No, the covers are not all messed up on mine, and even less on Jerry's bed.

I sleep vewy still, but even with a cat or 3, I still manage to turn over every now and then. I'm just careful when I do it. What I don't understand is how all the covers migrate over to HIS side of the bed. He is always saying he's too hot, well, yeah! You're hogging all the covers!

I can't complain though because he warms up my side of the bed for me before I crawl in. :)

I can sleep in a bed and it looks like its still made when I get up in the morning. DH destroys it!

since i play musical beds, i'm not upstairs to care about the master bedroom...but the office is made, as is the sofa, lol...(public spaces)

i don't mess the covers...

I turn a lot, but the bed doesn't look too bad in the morning. But I sleep right on the edge of the bed. My two chihuahua's seem to be trying to push me off the bed every night.

The bed isn't too messed up, but my DH is a blanket robber. Everytime he turns, he pulls it all with him and I wake up with just a sheet. Drives me nuts.

I turn a lot. It wakes me every time, too. My DH is usually a still sleeper. I don't feel it when he moves, if he does. However, it's his side of the bed that's usually a mess in the morning!

I've changed a lot over the years. I used to be a tornado. Then settled down a bit. When I got the little dog, he'd be up with me and I had to be more careful. By then I'd usually start the night on my left side and watch TV until ready to go to sleep then roll onto my right side and be that way until morning or if I'd wake up in the night. Had to be careful though, since I'd wake up back to back with the dog and he didn't appreciate me rolling over on him! After he died I tossed and turned more. Then I took a bad fall and was busted up pretty bad so I wound up sleeping in the recliner. Don't go back to the bed very often. Not a comfortable bed anyway. Now I hardly move, which is fine with the cats, especially the stealth one. 13.5# and she can slip up onto me without waking me. I lie there and have trouble moving my legs and realize I have a furry paperweight on me. The other on is on my chest as I type this!

P.S. My bed was comfortable when I left it a while ago ... as it is most every day.

While my blankets tend to shift some, I can usually make my bed by pulling them and the sheet up in one pull, for about a week or so.

I don't like messy covers. My bed is usually easy to make up. But, I have a bunch of decorative pillows that I use, so it takes a while to fluff.

Main Man's bed looks like he was trying to spin a cocoon. But, he makes his own bed....sometimes.

I'm a bed hog. I don't mess the covers up so much but I do turn quite a bit. After a few years of letting the dogs lay where ever they wanted (snuggled right up against me) and ME getting less than good sleep because of it, I finally put up a fuss with the dogs. Now days,,If I want to roll onto a better place, I do, dogs and all. Once in a while they would get rolled on but they just moved over a couple inches. I need about one persons worth of roll room and enough covers to keep warm. The dogs didn't complain and I sleep so much better! The covers on dh's side are about the same, he's a still sleeper. We have a select comfort bed so we don't notice if someone is restless anyway. Love that!

Ha- I love this post. My bed stays quite neat. At least 4 of the 8 cats can be found in bed with us. One takes over my pillow, one prefers under the covers and the rest pin us down. We have learned to sleep vewy vewy still as we have been "poked" with sharp claws if we make too much racket.

well, between HD's arms pinned down to the bed on either side and the noise of his CPAP,,,,(thank goodness no pets allowed) I don't get a lot of "good sleep"...but last night I turned on my soothing sleep noise machine, aagh..when I did wake up, only two times last night..I was able to fall back to sleep quickly..plan to use it more often now! I think HD learned to sleep this way either with siblings who liked to fight over the covers or prehaps after one two many military night time jokes....have you ever seen the shaving cream in one hand and feather tickle under the nose thing....i think his bunk buddies invented it! Not to mention...as papa bear said, "My bed is too hard" so we're looking at new bedding. otherwise, to answer your question, I "sweep" on the edge and move very wittle.

Ahhhhh, it looks like messy covers are all the fault of those wascally wabbits (or cats and dogs and DH's) LOL

And I can so relate to a cover hogging DH. Every morning the covers are at a definite diagonal towards DH's side of the bed. But gotta love him....it's in the contract!

My husband and I keep two blankets on our bed-one for each of us. Mine is heavy,his is light. I usually get up first. After he gets up, I straighten the blankets.

I haven't asked my bed how it is, lately ... but I assume that it's in good shape.

It seems to take good care of me when I spend time in it.

If a cat dares needle me in what, regardless of the cat's opinion, I claim to be *my* bed ... that cat's going to get a swat-that-means-business in return!

Any cat that needles me when I'm sleeping ... is going to learn to think twice before trying that course of action again.

I figure that co-existence in peace is a good way to go - but in my books, swatting with claws out is *not good manners*!

If, as a result, s/he chooses to sleep elsewhere ... that's his/her business.
