Can you stand one more photo question?

(Don't answer that.)

Here's the thing....I am frozen in place by a wall in my family room that I just CANT figure out how to decorate. I have a great photo of it that I want to include in my desperate plea for help (yes...I'm pathetic), but I don't do the photo/computer stuff in my family,my husband does. So the other day I finally found info on how to get pictures to be included in a post. My husband took one look at it and said, "Too complicated" and I had to agree.

My pictures taken from my phone or camera are loaded onto KodakShare but do I have to "send them" somewhere else to get them on my post? Then do I have to do some more hocus pocus to get them to show up here?

These questions must drive those of you who are computer savy CRAZY...

Upload your pictures to TinyPic.com Where it says "resize" choose the message board size, then copy the HTML for websites code and paste it into your post.

Cathy, I am no expert but did finally figure this all out. If I were you, I would put your pics on your computer. Then get a photobucker or tiny pics accout. I use photobucket, am not familiar with tinypics - but people here love it. Photobucket works fine for me.

After you have pics on your computer, when you log onto your photobucket account it will show you how to upload your pictures from your computer onto their site. Once you have done that,go to the picture in photobucket, copy the html code and paste it here into your message box. It will look like a bunch of words but when you preview your message the picture will appear.

Really, it is easy. Keep asking questions until you get it.

Ya konw, I was saying that I had 3 of these and had no desire to thin out these duplicates. But I'll tell ya, I was at a garden mart today and saw a few GORGEOUS OS's and decided I'd make some room for at least one more. I SOOOOO love this hosta! Thanks for sharing!

Cawfeegirl--I do not have a pic at the moment, but when I get a chance in the next day or two I will try to post one for you. I have to figure out how to post pics on here. I guess I'll have to create a photobucket account first. But to answer your question, it looks black from a distance but up close it looks green and black. You can definitely see up close that it is mainly green (actually, I don't even think there is any black, it is just a really really dark green in many places throughout, so dark that it looks black). There are of course the white and garnet spots, too, and the garnet looks black unless the sunlight hits it directly, then it sparkles and really looks like garnet. I think when we have the undercabinet lighting in it will do the same thing. The green shades really vary from light, almost sagey green, to dark/blackish. I know what you mean about not wanting it to be "too green." I had the same concerns before deciding to go with it. I hope this helps. We are very happy with our choice. I will try to post those pics if I can figure out how ;)

Renofan - You did a fantastic job on that chair, and I think you should go ahead and do the little chair in the yellow toile, too. That's the fabric that I used to make my bedroom duvet and curtains, (the thread is "I've got the blues...thanks to you"). You'll find that this fabric is very reasonably priced, yet a good, sturdy fabric to work with. I also used the yellow duck ticking fabric from the same site, FashionFabricsClub.com. Wouldn't you know I have 4 wingback chairs that are in excellent condition, but all have old fabric on them that I can't stand. Two of them, in fact, resemble what your wingback looked like before. Thanks to you, and the website that you furnished on upholstering, I now know what project I plan to tackle next! I know I'll never match your speed or expertise in these projects, but at least I can make an attempt. Your motivation inspires me to get my butt off this chair and start searching for more fabric. Now I can't wait to see your little toile chair, and if you ever need to find a home for it once it's done, I have a bedroom that would love to adopt it....lol! Beautiful job!! Heidi

Those are both pretty, but until you pick your counter you won't know which way you want to go. Since you haven't picked your countertop yet maybe you could take the BS samples countertop shopping with you. It will become evident immediately that shopping for both at the same time will be an advantage. You'll end up with a look you like, and they'll work together. Each backsplash alternative will limit your counter choices, just as a counter already installed limits some BS choices. Chosen together you get to make the decisions which is more important in the combo.

I find picasa to be the easiest. You can also send pics to an album from a cell phone. I find that Photobucket linked photos don't always click for me & are down fairly often. I haven't had any issues with picasa. To share a picture; you click on link to this photo- select the size & copy the code.

roselvr, that is good to know. I always thought you had to join picasa to be able to view others' photos there, but I can see that's not true. Nice garland, by the way!

No; picasa has been very easy; even my photo illiterate hub can use it. You can also sign up to get updates on people you like when they add photos. I have a gmail account & have mine linked; I can even upload via email.

I've found that with some of the other photo sites; I've had to have a user account to view photos.

My friend made me the bow this year for the garland. I added to the ribbon to it. I'll have to start earlier next year to fix it. I wanted to wire some glass balls like the other garland in the album has
