hiiii!!

I'm back. I've been sneaking around on myspace, which was facinating, but today I just got sick of the whole thing and wondered where the normal people went.

So, HIIII! (doesn't it make you feel good that I think you're normal??)

I had a similiar experience, I had a baby duck given to me as a gift and I figured since it was old enough to be outside I would let it in with the others, which were 4-6 months old. They nearly killed it! I had to separate it again until it was full grown. Then they accepted it fine.

Thanks guys for the notes back. I'm getting ready to check out that "U-Pick" site. Island Pete-thanks for the invite. Are the tangerines and grapefruit ready to be picked? Upon closer inspection of my neighbor's trees, it looks as though most are still somewhat green. I'm familiar with your area of town. My son is a student over at St. Pete High so I'm over there twice a day. Maybe someday after school we can both stop by if it works for you. Thanks again for the offer. Sue.

They do use lead, regardless of laws. Rehabbers deal with this regularly. But Wood ducks are not divers or grazers (like Canada geese), so not sure from what source the lead would come. Possible she was poisoned? Or shot, and made it back to the nest? I don't think sparrows would/could kill even a little duck like a Wood duck. Sad to find that. Dirtgirl, may I make a suggestion, though? I say this every spring and summer, and people hate me for it, but I know you will not. I do not think it's ever a good idea to check bird nests that are accessible to predators, or that do not need to be maintained (like bluebirds). I know there was no indication of traumatic injury (like you would with a raccoon attack), but visiting nests regularly leaves a scent trail for mammal predators (like raccoons and even squirrels) and crows watch and figure out something is doing in there. And I am not at all suggesting that's what happened, but you know your stuff, and I know people will probably follow your example more than mine : ) Anyway, happy spring, and good luck with the W. ducks this year.

So, this was one large parcel that was only recently subdivided for this sale? Are the stalls being used? Also, is this something with a foundation? Or is it really just panels with some cover? Because if it doesn't have a foundation/is easily movable, then maybe it's not as problematic as you think. Maybe for closing purposes it can be treated more like a hot tub than an outbuilding (personal property vs. real property). If the neighbor doesn't care about the stalls, and the parties can come to an equitable agreement, I think the easiest route would be (4): for you and the neighbor to come to a deal that has the entire structure becoming yours, and that you will move it within X amount of time. That way there is nothing left for the neighbor to do, and you're not "waiting" on something that is outside your control, with the potential of a deadline not being met and additional neighbor drama.

Oh Duckie! It's so good to see you! But where's your spastic little duck gif? I miss that! Looks like you haven't slowed down a bit. Did you get your kitchen all finished? I don't think I've heard from you since Nita came through and visited with you. That's been too long!

hello peeps!
Hope everyone had a blessed Easter, we went to Cowboy Church, which was different! It was in an old auction barn and people brought thermos' of coffee or their drinks. I didn't see anyone eating anything, however, when it was time for communion, I looked over at the assistant pastor to see if they were going to ask him to help and he was spitting in his spit cup! oh crap! lol! (they didn't ask him!)

ok...let's see....lori, let go(squeezes out of choke hold and pets Tuffy)...yes, we pretty much are the hippest old broads on myspace....them young 'un don't have a clue! (smacks lori with a wing...just for fun.....)

Hey RAbbit! I am looking at the duck and rabbit you sent me, they're still on my desk!

Hi tanna, nice to see you too!

linda! hi 5!

mary ann! normal? I was counting on YOU to know! hi!

Hey linda! ((((hug))))

...wiping mingo slobber off...ahem...hey...those duckies are almost as cute as me! (yesterday, i was drinking my tea and got a fly in my mouth....ack....) ********smoooooch***********

dang jen,,,you remember that? wow,,,you must not be getting old like me. i need to find spazoducko....remind me...(((((((jen))))))))))

mush....what the hck you been up to? you been keeping these little girls in line??? ((((((((musher))))))))))

well...more coffee....
Still got three horses. Retired one. Have a three day barrel race this weekend. I entered one race, rather two, but I'm not counting the first one, this year. My first time and I'm still slow, but I get soooo scared!

I haven't decided if I will enter for real this weekend or just exhibition. My mare is ready, but sometimes she gets soooooo excited, it feels like she's going to explode! If she stays calm, then I feel better. I've been hauling her around alot and she's getting alot calmer. I'm such a big baby, but I refuse to quit, so I'm bound to get better.

So, I'm riding them today. It's about 32 degrees out there today, but supposed to warm up to 65. Hope my tomatoes are ok.

Nothing much is new, I have a girl I ride with that's 27. She puts up with me and lives close by. We haul together or ride at each other's houses. She's keeping me in line!

ok...off to read...oh and go clean something!

xoxo

Hi duckie, I'm Linda from Mississippi. I've seen a few rare sightings of you since I came to sit at this table, but I've heard of the famous Duckie from day one. It's nice to meet you.

Who you callin' normal, huh?

Hi Duckie! Glad you're back. I wondered why Harry kept "pointing" the computer this morning. I should have known.

Tell me about your kitchen. Since you migrated away, DH has retired, gotten the same job as a civilian, we bought the "Little House of Horrors," and will be redoing the kitchen this summer. I'm always looking for ideas to steal!

Maybe we can clip your wings so you'll not wander so far off this time! LOL

Hi sippy...hope you're having a duckie day! xoox

hi nodak...how've you been?

hi caroline! i so remember harry... i just love him...he's too darn cute! (hides wings)...kitchen...well...there are a few things we need to finish, like the backsplash. What we ended up doing was not putting doors on the cabinets. You kinda have to keep things neat, but I like it. Basically, it's a normal kitchen with an island and the stove at the island. The wall side with the sink is actually all windows....i love all the light and being able to look out as I clean.

see ya!
