I'm an avid reader of the backs of china, and have looked at the back of this set any number of times. About 5 years ago, I took photos of many of Mom's things for an inventory, which is why I have the photos. I didn't want to forget that her Great Aunt Elizabeth was the original owner of this set. I just can't remember right off which of the many Limoges marks is on this set! Here's the other photo I have of a couple of serving pieces. I do love them, and I may keep them. The problem is I don't really have a space for them.

I always wonder that too, about when the kids grow up and look back on these episodes. Kate and John said that they started doing the show as a way to preserve the memories as the kids grow up because they couldn't possibly do that much video and picture taking being as busy as they would be. What kind of memories will this be for the kids...I sure would want to forget most of it! I liked her in the beginning of the show but I have seen her get worse over time. More rude and just horrible to her hubby. I would love to see if he goes off on her off camera! I can hear some snippiness in his voice at times...wonder if he lets her have it when the crew isn't around. My DH would! I do love to watch the kids though...all but Madi, she makes me want to slap her. I have a feeling her mom might have acted this way as a child. Those little ones are so cute though!

While there is no excuse for Kate being snippy with and putting Jon down, there is maybe a 'reason'. I get the feeling that Kate is largely the head of the household chores and meals. I 'imagine' she is in charge of planning the meals so the kids are fed well. I 'imagine' she is in charge of seeing to their wardrobes, and that they have clothes and shoes that fit and are in decent shape. I 'imagine' she is the brains behind the 'entertainment' of the children for 'away from home' activities, as well as for at home entertainment. I 'imagine' she is the one responsible to seeing that everything is gathered together and taken for any kind of an outing. I 'imagine' she is the one who arranges for any appointments (school, doctor, dentist, etc) the children have. I 'imagine' she is the one who knows all things must stay on schedule as she has said many times, that the children do their best when they are kept on schedule. While they are a 'team', someone has to be the leader, or there would be total chaos. She is the leader and there is nothing wrong with that. So what if Jon went out and let his hair (now that he has some) down. Have you ever seen him go anywhere without at least a couple of children with him? I have seen Kate out before without kids, but never Jon. Lastly...have you ever known anyone who was a better person after several drinks? Often people do and say things they would not normally do if they were sober. Often they regret those things. The pic below is of, imho, Jon with a couple of fans.
