Your KD should ask you for the model numbers of all your appliances and then look up the specifications for each in order to determine the dimensions of panels, etc. All the specifications should be readily available online.

here's a pic of JA CD w/panels - I searched for my plans/dimensions - sorry no avail. But I would be clear to KD that you don't want the black sides showing & you do want total clearance for the door swing 180 degress. I've seen them installed where either the door/s doesn't fully open or the sides showing - either one is a no, no. That should suffice for a proficient KD

I don't know if the models are any different here in Canada.

FD REfrigerators: Depth of cabinet without the doors. 24 1/8". Says to add an extra 1/2" at the back to allow for water line feed.

Kitchen cabinet opening= 36" (fridge width is 35 1/8")

Height including hinge is: 69 15/16"

Hi, Thanks for your posts. According to the specs I would need 24 5/8. I guess it would be safer to have the panels 25". I could always move the refrigerator forward 3/8". I think I would rather have a little too much than taking a chance of having some of the black showing. 25" would bring the panel to the edge of the countertop. Will that look alright, or should the panel only go to the end of the cabinets? I can't tell from the pictures if the panel is equal to the countertop. Thanks Gail

Thanks for your picture. Could you tell me if the 24" is just the side panels or includes the fluted trim on the front? Thanks Gail

You just totally reminded me of something... The panels are 24 inches including the front trim but we had to pull them forward an inch because there is a pipe run inside the left filler piece. So the total is 25 inches (I just measured to be sure).

They are 6 inches across. I wish I had hinged the one on the right for brooms or something but too late now.

You're OK with having the panel go even with the edge of the counter--no chance of getting a nice counter dent in the door that way!

Having a little extra and pushing it back to just where you want it, if your plan isn't all flush modernish, is ideal. Also allows for a new fridge along the line without worrying about particulars.
