Oh, that's lovely! For the entrance hall, you might choose a blue that picks up the color in the medallion - Cape Blue, or for something lighter, like Windy Sky, might be nice choices, for instance. I like the idea of giving a hint of what's ahead, and framing that lovely Crumbcake color through a doorway set in blue. My favorite is Edgecomb Grey. I painted both of my children's room's this color. It looks fab with pink accents and black furniture in my daughter's room, and equally terrific with navy and red in my son's room. Also love Stonington Grey, which is in my bedroom. Grey Wisp is another great color. Have it in the office and powder room. Hmmm...i think I like grey! Just realized that every room that I've painted in this house has been some shade of grey.! Kitchen is next. On the table is revere pewter and Harbor Grey. Of course.

We are building a new home, we have picked cabinets, flooring, knobs, faucets, etc.... its all coming together. I'm looking at paint colors now. I'm considering SW Blonde for foyer/dining room/Living room (do you have this- if so please share your pics)... We are also considering BM Navajo White for ceiling and trim (We can repaint if needed later but thought it would be easiest to pick one color for these main areas).. Do you have this color for ceiling or trim? Pics? Our family room has 20foot ceilings. I am considering a darker paint like BM Tawny (deep rich color) but i'm conserned - how will this rich/deep color look in such a big room ? (21x20) with the high ceilings. Does anyone have pics to share of such a big room with your color? We do have lots of light from windows in this room. Love to hear what SW and BM colors you love-- share pics if you have ! Why are you looking for colors that go with these two whites? It feels like you may be making decisions in the wrong order. When you say complete gut are you talking the kitchen or the whole house? I always find that creating a whole home color palette and creating a basis for design decisions is the right place to start. I have seen quite a few dilemmas over the years where someone fails to look at the whole home and made decisions for a single room that may have been beautiful, but don't work with the rest of the home and they go down a rabbit whole trying to fix one room after the next. If I am starting with a blank slate (New build or total renovation) I would want to understand what colors make your heart sing and how you want to feel walking through the rooms of your home. Plaster of Paris may be a beautiful color on your walls if you love fall colors, or may look dingy if you love buttery yellows, clear blues or cooler neutrals. Once you know the direction you are going with colors you can figure out the neutral color families that work best with the colors. Don't forget to consider any furnishings that you are planning to use in the new/renovated space or trim/ceiling color if you are not repainting trim, doors and/or ceilings. This is also the appropriate time to decide on lighting temperatures. The next steps are picking the high ticket items that won't change for the next 20 years or so. . . flooring, cabinets, countertops, backsplash, bathroom tile. You now have a starting place for these decisions. You know that a green gray will work or a blue gray won't work. . . Bring home tons of samples, play with the different items together and decide which combination is speaking to you. Look at everything with samples of the colors you love. Look at the samples in your home in the rooms where the products will be used. Take everything outside and look at the colors together in natural daylight. Natural daylight is like a truth serum for neutrals. It makes them reveal those pesky undertones that may not show up until you have a whole room completed. Next it is time to decide on upholstered furnishings. Budget and selection comes into play here. If you are ordering a sofa with lots of fabric choices you can usually find the right colors. If you are buying off the showroom floor you may not have as much choice. Now it is time to pick the wall colors and the white or colors for trim and ceilings if you are painting the trim/doors/ceilings. There are thousands of available colors. Unlike flooring, You can get virtually any color you are looking for.
