Pitbull Wolf Mix Puppies

This was posted on another forum. advertizing this mix on a bullatan board.

Would you want one of these puppies?

I think it sounds like a lawsuit in the making and just downright dangerous but i could be wrong. Has anyone ever had one of these crosses?

Actually, it was posted on this forum.

Whether or not the puppies actually are that cross, that's obviously aimed at the pumped up, gangsta-wannabe crowd.

In our county it is illegal to own a part-wolf dog. I am sure this is the case elsewhere as well... just another way to ruin the bull breed dogs. Truly sick, a wolf is a wild animal.

If you want a healthy puppy/dog and live longer. Then buy the more healthier expensive foods on the markets. Don't buy the cheap stuff from stores, go to pet stores and read the ingredients. You don't want anything that has by products as that is just garbage meats that they use. No whole wheats at all. And yes, no corn products at all for dogs or cats. They put them in because they are cheap and not good for our pets at all. I checked all kinds of foods and what is in them and didn't like what they put in them at all. I spent alot of time checking them all out and what can be bought around here. Also big suggestion is after you have checked around, then buy, don't buy huge bag, just buy the smallest bag to test your dog out on it first to make sure its liked as some dogs don't like certain ones. Our female dog, it drove me crazy as she would only eat dry and canned foods with chicken in it and so I had to search for them and found one brand and then the pet store didn't always have them and I finally had to give up and look and try another one. You can check on the internet for brands and check the ingredients what is in it. Yes, you will be paying a fortune but then again is your dog worth it? After hearing and still hearing of pets dying of kidney problems I worry about the cheap foods that people are still buying and feeding their pets and may still be a problem. Also so they don't get the runs, go slowly on introducing a new food, so mix it with the old food and put more and more of the new one until finally its used to it and no more old food. Now, tons have gone to the raw meats, at our local place we buy bones for our dog, they do the raw meats and tons come in and buy them up. I refuse to do that. I can't imagine giving raw meats to them. No, its cooked meats for our dog.

I'm not sure, but he is very cute. Maybe some spitz? Does his tail curl? Or shepherd? That one foot sticking out looks like a big paw. Could be he'll be pretty big. You could get his DNA tested at your vet. They could tell you for sure what his make up is. A husky is very independent. A border collie is very obedient. Is he showing any tendencies one way or another?

Linda and mazer, Those are the lines I was thinking of for a price. I was just shocked to see how much the rescues were charging. I had kind of stepped away from this thread because it was getting kind of ugly but I do want to add that I did find a "free" puppy and we love him so much and he is a hoot to watch. The young man that gave the puppy up had only had it a week when he was offered a job and had to make a decision. Evidently, when he posted the free puppy online he was swamped with people berating him for advertising for free, as only people who wanted pups for research labs and baiting would want it. Rescues "offered" to take it for the same reason. He also had a lot of offers to adopt the pup from people who had no idea what a blue tick hound was like. This young man was very concerned where his pup was going to go and when I went out to meet him he had his mom, grandparents, cousin and girlfriend there to help him make a sound judgement on who would be right for his puppy. Evidently, I was the only one that brought my dogs so he could see their overall health. I brought pictures of my yard, my vet bills and certificates and licensing for the pets. We talked for about an hour out in his yard after talking on the phone for that long too. The funny thing is the clincher for the puppy coming home with us was the fact I had worn my "puppy shoes" They are expensive sandals that have the straps all but chewed off by our Abby. When I started to look for a puppy I had figured my budget of around 500 dollars to get the puppy, give it's needles and be neutered. I was shocked to see that some places wanted as much or more for a heinz 57 pup that was a bit older because they took care of its initial care. I, wanted to be the one who did that for my puppy. Since I have looked for a "free" or low cost puppy people have assumed that I cant afford to care for one. Trust me.. my pets are pampered and are well cared for. lazygardens...well, I would not DARE put down a large bowl of food for him, our big dog left behind 1/2 his food in the bowl one day, DH "accidentally" put it back on the food stand, and little PETE helped himself to it, and before I caught him, he had inhaled most of it. His belly was so full he could hardly move, everytime he was picked up, he belched and grunted. He was miserable til mid way through the next day. He has no shut off valve ;) I did speak to our vet this morning when I dropped him off for his Mitiban spa day, and he said that he thought the puppy chow was fine, described it as a middle of the road brand. He mentioned that Purina pro plan would be good to use also. I have always wondered about the true validity of what makes the "gourmet" brands better. To be honest, I have read horrible things about ALL kibble and what goes into it. I seriously doubt any of it is truly good. But raw feeding, I'm not sure about either. dont want to start a controversy on feeding practices here, (yet ;) but I am curious as to what supposedly makes one brand better than an other, since the truth is that NO ONE can be assured of what is really going into these pet foods. PS: he has gained 3 pounds in the past week or so! I call that growing to be sure. When he started the dips 3 weeks ago he weighed 10. something now he's 13.2!!

I think it would be a disaster waiting to happen! Wolves are wild animals and to breed one with a domestic dog in my opinion is stupid,reckless and irresponsible. I'm a firm believer that wild animals always have that wild instinct no matter what they are mixed with. The fact that they were bred to a breed already known for having reputations for their agressive behavior is unbelievable to me. I certainly would never have a dog of that mix,but that's just my opinion.

I curently own a FEMALE pupp of 2 week short of three months.. i had her since ahe was 3 WEEKS.. The mother of my dog is Half wolf and some sort of stray dog.. however the dad is pitbull.. im NOT AHURE how much wolf is in her but after research EVEN AT THIS AGE u can see what they mean about there temperment and behavior.. unfortunetly she had a brother that looked to be more wolf than dog- HE EVEN HOWLED not barked but we lost him to parvo.. she dont realy seem as an agresive dog YEt anyways she is very protective and due to her wolf side she RARELY barks.. litterly a few times a WEEK if that.. i owned dogs all my life and u can see witj this breed that yes there more into sociolisom then being ur pet.. shes potty trained but due to the wolf aide u cant realy FULLY POTTY TRAIN.. meaning ahe has the hole rutine down.. but If ahe dont want to go out side ahe wount.. again research says they are beat in they territorry.. verry true. At this age i have no fence but some how she loves to stay out side in whats our propperty too..
ONE MAJOR DETAIL IS THAT a dog want u to play and please u as this seems she wants u to JOIN IN or join in what ever ur doin.. u cant teach them to do trick as THERE NOT DOGGS - and this was an ACCIDENTAL mix.. i got the dog from a familly member.. he got his wolf dog because we live in arizona

I have had one previous dog that we ALLWAYS belived was part wolf because hes agresiveness attitude temperment and tendency to suddenly pray on small animals. It wasnt after putting him down that the vet. REASURED US that yes indeed he was half wolf half chow and germansheaperd.. so i have experions in handleing the breed but i am NO EXPERT OR PRFESIONAL.. the previous dog was more wolf then the female i have now and YES he would turn on me growl and T times BITE..but i belive that due to me being its owner and NOT SHOWING FEAR is the only thing that keeped him from clenching down on the bite. Or from REPEDITTLY bitting.. however ONE ADVANTAGE is the breed sees u as family as part of the pack.. so there more than just having a dog it truelly is like having another family member.. which is why i considered getting this female.. shes 1/3 wolf 1/3 pit 1/3 chow mix.. i figured i have experience.. i do know how to deal Nd handle the breed and the pit bull since im not having a pit to fight every one else.. PITS ARE VERY PROTECTIVE Nd thats a quallity this dog has from day one.. ITS REALLY as having another child.. in ever way shape and form.. any forther questiond be free to email..
