I am finally back from my trip to Florida...

Today I will catch up on laundry, write a few thank-you notes and get supper started. I am making new potatoes and peas with a slice of ham.

Today I have made lots of pie dough, using 12 cups of flour and also made a batch of the Better Than Pam once again. I plan to bake something with some of the pie dough later. I also plan on peeling potatoes for my supper. So far the weather is really nice, not quite as sunny as yesterday and if it stays nice I will take Izzi and we will go for a ride on my big rig. Yesterday I discovered a deer stand on my neighbor's property, but very close to ours on a big oak tree. Now I will feel like someone is watching me whether they are in there or not. I am sure I will find other things to do today too.

Today I will finish the laundry, decide what's for supper, and maybe go shopping, that's about it for me.

OK, I really haven't been sleeping well so I'll take advantage of that & tell you about yesterday. Dave had to go to the VA in Tampa to have his ear checked where they removed the cancer 5 weeks ago. It had a blood blister type thing come up. So, we started out the day with him taking me to breakfast. Then off to Tampa. They lanced the scar & removed the blood. Then he took me to the Florida aquarium. We enjoyed that & had lunch there. They have a 36 foot catamaran that we had reservations on for 2:00. We left on that & went dolphin watching. After that we came back & he took me to a movie. Then I had him take me to our Walmart b/c I needed to pick up some material. LOL After that we stopped for catfish for dinner & then came home. We left the house yesterday at 7:00 a.m. & got home at 9:00 p.m. We had a fun-filled day. And you already know that he is the BEST! It was a great day. My friends are taking me to a craft fair today & out for lunch. Then we are meeting up with my friends tomorrow & going to the Renaissance Festival. So, this will be a great weekend. Good morning. It's already 72 degrees here and heading up to 85. Sunny, too! Welcome, Dody and Groomingal! This is a great place to come for support, for weight loss and other things. I'm heading out in a few minutes to do my weekly grocery shopping. I keep a running list all week on my computer, so that by Friday morning, I'm ready to print it and go. I never used to be quite this organized until I started on Weight Watchers this time. It really keeps me in line to know exactly what there is to fix and eat. I'm still cooking every evening, and so far, most of the recent attempts have been successful! QOD: No plans so far. We did so much running around last weekend, and hubby is taking it easy this week but still going in to work after having a heart cath on Monday. So, he'll probably just want to lie around and watch tv. Thanks for the good thoughts for Aubrie. I'm really proud of my Dson and DDIL for remaining so calm about things so far. That's also the reason I was so happy to keep the girls for them Easter weekend while they go visit my other son and DDIL for a nice distraction. And, it has nothing to do with the fact that I LOVE being with my granddaughters! LOL McPeg, I had cabin fever yesterday, too. It was very overcast here and it just made me feel so gloomy. I'm thankful for the sun today! Have a great weekend, everyone!

Thanks, We are hoping to look into some other options today and I now have some more questions to ask contractor thanks to your advice. Once of the problems is our great room window is taller than the 2nd story loft. We did have window film installed last summer to try to cut some of the heat and we do have light filtering shades on the lower half. Adding to this one of our daughters bedrooms has a closet that is under the eaves, no attic, and she has a west facing window. So it gets very hot, also bathroom very hot upstairs-no window. We have been running the furnace fan since the air died and it does help, but the noise is a little irritating. Another factor, we have seasonal allergies and a child with asthma. We run our A/C early in the season into the fall, even after it cools down outside, due to pollens etc. Does anyone know about the noise level of the X-13? Has anyone heard of Total LIne Thermostats? Contractor said they have used them for a few years now.

Hope you had a nice birthday, Elisabeth, happy belated birthday! aunt_audrey, just how do we pull a groin muscle??? I have that too, and it truly hurts... but I don't know, how I did it. I rode my bike to work, and of course, back home too. Then drove over to the house, to see, if they did the work needed on the roof. Can't tell for sure, but am supposed to meet with the seller today to take a look. Well if I can get myself motivated I will make 2 dr appt, take my tax paperwork to the tax guy, clear some shelves in the garage so that I can get all the fall and christmas bins out of the guest room and into the garage. Walmart for a few items, Wegmans for a fish sandwich for dinner. Im tired just thinking about it.

I'm going to try to finish the inventory/cleaning/organizing of just one shelf of Bookcase 2. It was half finished before I got broadsided by the Crud.

I have a great new inventory app for the iPod. It's MyStuff2 by Rick Maddy. It's customizable to inventory anything and everything! I have all my DVDs in it now and about half of my books.

I don't know what got into me today, but I wish it would happen more often! I actually got into the mood to clean. I washed the quilt/bedspread from our bed, cleaned the living room, guest room, our bedroom and the guest bath. Cleaned the kitchen countertops with "Daily Granite". Ha! They hardly get it daily. Washed down the outsite refrigerator and washer/dryer. Tried (really I did) to get that garage in better shape, but failed! Planned tonight's dinner and now I'm taking a break. Need to empty the dishwasher in a minute.
