I just needed to share this because it lifted my spirits so much. What a wonderful, happy moment for this pair of sweet, caring teens. I hope you all enjoy it too.

I joined about 2 years ago while planning a kitchen renovation. I had just finished a bath (or was working on a bath? Time is a little fuzzy during the reno years) and noticed GW was consistently both near the top of my search results and often provided the most relevant information. So I started seeking out GW threads first. The culture was much more helpful and friendlier than many other places. So with much work ahead of me, I joined and started posting! And now that I'm down to the last finishing touches, I'm still here, helping others where I can. I hang out mostly in Kitchens, Bath, and Appliances, and it seems like there is a solid core of knowledgeable people that hang out there, and they welcome anyone that wants to stick around and share their experience with those earlier on in the process.

Hi senior gal, What a great change you and the class helped Tommy to achieve - thanks for being not only so perceptive, but so persistent as to get it started. I'm so glad that you were able to meet his sister, by happenstance, so many years later. I think, though, that this is not the end of the story. Unless there may be a reason not to pursue it ... how about looking Tommy up? Or, if travel isn't convenient, would his sister be willing to instigate his coming to see you? I'll bet that he'd agree to such a proposition and probably not take more than an instant to agree to do so. ole joyful

Dee, now I understand the Tweet reference. for anyone else who did not see the rabbit story: https://www.mediaite.com/online/watch-california-man-becomes-internet-hero-by-saving-rabbit-from-raging-wildfires/ I truly believe most people are good. It has been hard to see that lately. Personally, it really does me good to see these stories. I have been watching way too much news and it is taking a toll. ETA: Before someone else says it, I am aware that some have scoffed at this rabbit video because it is unwise behavior and can put others in danger, slow down evacuation etc etc. I don't care to argue that. It is touching that this person so empathizes with the rabbit.

when you start a post like this you will have just a reply box to type in but once you hit the preview message button you will then have below the reply box 2 blanks one that is optional link url and one name of link.
you just copy the url in the address bar for the page you want to link to and then paste it in that blank for optional link url
then put a name for it in the name blank.

in any reply to an already posted thread those 2 blanks are always there for use.
