Sprig is here, though still teasing me with chilly nights, sometimes there will be a little frost on the roofs, but sunny afternoons make up for it. Sun streaming through the West windows warms the house. I celebrated the end of winter by burning the last of my firewood yesterday, now I will clean out the stove and put candles into the firebox to give the room a rosy glow. I try to ignore the price of propane and enjoy the furnace, there is an up-side: the living room will be a lot cleaner and stay a lot cleaner, no wood debris on the carpet and no ash-dust on all surfaces to be taken care of all the time. Muscari are blooming everywhere, they certainly do migrate and pop up in the most surprising places. The crab-apple trees are going to open their buds as soon as they get a little more sunshine - I just wonder if we shall get our usual Easter Snow?

I learned to cook more with spices in the last few years. I try to keep them organized but for some reason LOL they get lost in the cabinet and I don't know what I have. Today I organized them again. They will stay that way for awhile anyway. If I had the counter space I would buy a spice rack.

yesterday i vacuumed the whole house and polished and dusted the living room,the bedroom and dining room.Today i finished polishing the furniture in the dining room & kitchen.Tomorrow i have to do the bathroo,and mop the kitchen.I also have to make up some mac and cheese,to put in freezer. We're picking up DH life long friend friday at the airport,and he'll spend a few days with him.Should be a good reunion for dh as most of hs friends have already passed on,and as they said,we're all getting older.Both of them will be 75 sunday for dh ,and monday for his friend. It will be good to see him again and relive all those memories. Kathi

Ran into a special situation. Friend dealing with relative's estate, recently through difficult lawsuit, needing money, planning homeowner Line of Credit ... I told her of fully-secured Line of Credit using stock, mutual fund certificates (much lower set-up costs, probably none, plus she may be able to use broker account): she was unaware ... I went to bank of her brand to do some checking on her behalf. So - I figure that I've done my good deed for the day ... well, one, anyway: who knows what the coming hours may offer? ole joyful

Been to therpy, have to call Dr. about blood pressure meds, wash some clothes, NOT play puzzles on computer, and wonder why I ever moved to a small town where everyone is related and in turn not be surprised why the ""new people"" are the outsiders..

Today I went to work. Mel came by there, and swapped vehicles with me. My little green mini morphed in to a BIG red pickup. :)

After work I drove to my daughters and got the first load of yard stuff she had stored next to her house.

But I got drenched... cause it is raining... and now I am warming up before going out and unloading...

Later, for diversity I shall open and empty some boxes. :)

Try and go to bed at a decent hour. Worked all day sounding like Minnie Mouse. Need to rest up and get better.

pack up a box of crafting supplies for a little 7 year old girl with cancer....done
visited with my dear neighbor and gave her lunch to take to work tomorrow....done
filled plastic eggs to mail to our daughter and some friends...done
hosed the yellow pollen dust off my car....done

I've had a busy day.
