Hi Kids,

I have a few items on my personal agenda today. I have begun my sewing project; that being, making valances for my living room windows. Today I will try to visualize the process so that I am able to move forward. I will leave for the gym at about 11:00 which will get me back home to the shower by 1:15. I also have knitting class tonight so I need to save some mental energy for that.

I will write thank you notes to my aunt and my cousin for their hospitality. Then DH and I are driving to Toronto to get my ring checked, and then to Hamilton for dinner with my brother.

Ugh, today I have to drive to the Los Angeles Convention Center to attend a tradeshow. Not looking forward to that at all.

I already straightened up the house a bit and sliced up 3 flavors of zucchini bread from the freezer, and the coffee pot is ready to go.

Now I will sit back and relax waiting for company for the day. Dh has actually asked for help with getting our new van set up with my hand brake, so a friend and his wife will be here soon. The wife and I will just 'hang out'. We will all go out for lunch, and come back home and hang out some more. I am really excited to have someone to talk to other than dh.

Moni, I didn't know you had found another house. Good luck! So far I've cleaned the upstairs new windows. they weren't dirty but had fingerprints all over them. I got the first load of wash in (bedding) and will do a second load when that is done. Hung the bedroom curtains......one of the rod brackets must have broken when I took them down so I will have to make a quick trip to the store to replace it. I will clean the upstairs and start packing. Last night I began the trying on summer clothes to see what still fits. UGH. I must lose that extra ten pounds gained through the winter. I have a meeting at 2:30 for my golf league so I'd better get busy.

Moni--another set of good wishes on that home inspection--we're going through that tomorrow for the house we're selling (and we already know the knob and tube will be a problem).

Today I have: cleaned the dishwasher, washed and waxed the kitchen floor. I will: experiment with a pumpkin cake recipe for a shower DD is giving in a couple of weeks, make one of my raspberry/chocolate angelfood cakes to leave for the buyers tomorrow when they come for their inspection; give the house a final cleaning before the inspection tomorrow.

Get my 4 mile walk in. No rain in sight , so I will wash the car.

My son and future DIL invited me to go on a walk through of the house they are purchasing. It's a short sale and has taken 5 months. If all goes well they will be in their new house in 3 weeks.

I will remember my wonderful father, who was born March 7, 1903.

Glad you started this thread. Variety is good. I have a Senior Meeting at noon, the physical therpy at 3pm for my back. Not use to constant pain. Sun out, 16 above, but no new snow. Streets in town icy. Got some washing started and finished up dishes. You all have a great day.

I am going to attack some closets today and prepare boxes of stuff to donate to our Garden Club yard sale.

I have a sore throat and can barely talk thanks to the jerk across the street who was once again burning some kind of toxic junk yesterday when I had all my windows and doors open enjoying the Spring breeze. It sent me rushing for my inhaler and scorched my throat that is how horrible the smoke was. Please Lord keep me from strangling that idiot!
I and several neighbors have called pollution control and they said next time they will be knocking on his door with a little gift for him.
My next door neighbor has a son that is severely handicapped and is on a ventilator and one of the other neighbors recently had a double lung transplant there are elderly folks here on oxygen and this idiot wants to continuously burn junk. He refuses to pay for trash pick up so I guess he saves it all in the back yard and on nice pretty days he kills all of us by burning it.
I called the fire dept last time the fire was so huge I could see the flames over the top of his house I thought the house was on fire.

I ran the dishwasher this morning and and cleaned out the ice bin for the ice maker, then went shopping with Cheryl, Amber and Alyssa. We went into Goodwill and I bought a Hamilton Beach mixer for $3.99 less my 30% discount! We had lunch at the Sirloin Stockade and it was pretty good. Finally we shopped for groceries. Nice bargain on strawberries at a dollar a pound. Has anyone signed up for Goodwill's rewards card? You ask for it at the store. It is warm today but very, windy.

Well, our day is halfway over (at least!!) and this is my first time at the computer. I had an early doctor's appt. which wasn't too painful. I had managed to lose four more pounds and do fairly well managing my diabetes. He gave me more Tramadol for arthritis pain, which will help. After the doctor's visit, Bob and I had breakfast at a local restaurant, then did the grocery shopping for the week. Today is Senior's Day and I got 10 percent off my bill. It paid for the gas! I also got the small cans of salmon on special for 69 cents(Normal price is 2.98)and a gallon of milk was $1.59. Large slicing tomatoes were 77 cents and avocados were 3 for a dollar. The healthy type cereal that I buy was on special buy one get one free, plus each package had a coupon for $1.00 off fresh fruit!. Pineapples were on sale for 99 cents each, so I got two pineapples and eight bananas for free! I actually enjoyed my shopping trip today!
This afternoon, I will make long distance phone calls to relatives and friends, then pick up my RX refills.
