3 year old with a rash

I have a three year old with a rash and I'm trying to figure out what it is. The skin is raised in patches like cat's spots. They're not colored, but seem to itch a little. The child ha no fever or obvious signs of discomfort.

He at a normal diner: spagehetti with green peppers, mushroom, and onions. He did not play outside or come in contact with any animals besides the indoor house cat, which never previously bothered him.

I am not sure what cat's spots are. It sounds like a case of the hives. Hives are a rash that grows into large, raised welts. They are itchy. They are an allergic reaction to something.

I buy mine for $30 a cubic yard. The farmer who makes it gets mountains of leaves from landscapers, and they are mostly shredded because they are picked up with mowers. He also uses some horse manure and bedding, and some grass clippings. There are some weed seeds, and I usually screen out some rocks and wood pieces, as well as some plastic. I think it does take at least 2 or 3 years to be finished and aged, the piles are only turned once a year in winter when the ground is frozen and he can get a bulldozer in there. I have made small quantities in garbage bags before, it also took 2 years. Check on craigslist, there might be someone close by and you can save a lot of time and effort for a very reasonable amount of money. If you can get a small sample first that would be good, test it for broadleaf herbicides by mixing 50-50 and planting some bean seeds, and compare those seedlings to ones planted in just potting mix.

I feed them Miracle Gro 24-8-16 half strength weekly or when needed. They get 16 hours of light daily from the time they come inside till they go outside. lots of light. The temperature inside the can is 10F higher than the room air and is humid. Light put on new shoot outside in early fall. Seedlings under a bucket light with a daylight 23 watt CFL. Temperature rise 20F. 85F inside. 3/4 of the growth happen during fall, winter, and spring. This gives me about a 6 year old plant in 2 years. Is your attic finished, or do you have only boards over the floor joists. Homes of this age can be balloon construction, meaning you could drop a line from the attic and it would go through to basement level. I'm not a pro, but looked into foam injected (via outside) for a mid century home and was told that if foam was used, it would fill up wall cavities, making access to future electrical work very difficult. I opted for blown in cellulose by a highly reputable company who filled all voids to avoid heat loss, and installed a sealing attic entry door with vertical sides to preclude movement of cellulose. You might want to look at some DR. ENERGY videos before deciding on best type of insulation.

In order to attenuate the vibrations from the running generator and prevent problems with the in-ground gas line, a flexible hose is required. Had they run straight across, the hose would have been about 6" long and would not have been of sufficient length to deal with the vibrations. By running the pipe the way they did the flexible hose is about a foot long. The grey tube coming up from the ground is likely simply to support the piping hanging out over the ground.

BTW, if it is hives (allergic reaction), you may never figure out what caused it. I've gotten them many times throughout my life, sometimes I figure out what caused it, most times I don't :)

My first thought was "Fifth Disease"...check it out, if not hives could be that. Lacy like rash, that is not very itchy. He's a little young for it, but could be it.
